Character Description
Meet Nyota, whose name means star. She is a Alicorn/Dragon hybrid. She has the eyes, wings, and fangs of a dragon. Her pupils are that of a dragons when showing expressions. they are big when calm and happy and then take on a thin cat like version when angry or threatened. She has the body, horn, and mane of an Alicorn. However her mane and tail hair hides her other dragon parts. She had a DRAGON tail with spines. The natural hair growls form the dragon tail and she can braid it to hide the dragon tail and spines. She also has dragon neck spines that her mane hides. She eats meat and veggies so she is a omnivore. She also is very different then most Dragon/Pony hybrids is cause her dragon part of her blood is actually a separate being all together. They are two minds sharing one body and personality.
Her colors consist of that of her parents. Her father was a dark Turquoise coloration while her mother was a white bodied Alicorn with dark green hair with dark blue highlights and bright blue eyes. She has a necklace that has a image of her parents on one side and on the other with her parents AND herself as a little foal. Nyota has something special about her that makes her different then most other Dragon/pony hybrids. She had 3 forms. her first is her normal pony form with dragon wings, eyes, and fangs. She just looks like a bat pony which can help her get away with being a hybrid in normal pony society. Her second form is a mix of both dragon and pony (which is next to be uploaded). And her final form is a pure dragon with a Alicorn horn. (Her horn changed when she goes into her second form and dragon form). Her powers vary thanks to the Alicorn blood in her veins. She CAN naturally breath fire AND ice breaths.
Personality
She is super sweet and caring. Her mothering instinct is pure natural and it comes from her mother. However she does have a temper and she WILL take the offensive when need be. She is a hard fighter and does anything to survive and protect.
Likes/Dislikes
She loves apples! Especially Zap Apples, so delicious and sweet to her tongue. She does like certain meats when her dragon self is hungry. She loves those close to her and cares deeply for those hurting on the inside. She ADORES children. She LOVES stories and learning. She HATES racist creatures and un-needed violence. She hates seeing anyone hurting whether its actual injuries or emotional.
Background/History
Nyota was born in a castle built into a mountain. Her mother, a rouge Alicorn, was exhausted but happy to be holding her baby. Her beloved, the King of dragons, walked into the room and smiled seeing his newborn. He curled around his sweet wife and cooed to his daughter. both had agreed to name her after the stars in the beautiful night sky. Nyota FireHeart was her name, her father and mother adored her. They spoiled her in the 6 years of her life. Many guards and subjects of the dragon castle loved her and her little antics. Her favorite guard always watched over her. He was actually her uncle, he cared so much about his niece.
When Nyota was 6 years old, her whole world was taken from her. A group of dragons with dark intentions attacked her father. They only wished to capture him and imprison him. However they planned on killing Nyota and her mother. Her father was NOT going to allow that. he fought hard to protect his beloved and his precious daughter. IvoryLilly, Nyota's mother, ran as fast as she could and then turned back after putting Nyota down. She looked to her daughter "Run! Run and Don't Look Back!" She then flew and fought along side her husband. Both were slain by the leader of the dark assassins. He turned in Nyota's direction where she stood frozen like a fawn. He nods his head to his most heartless member.
The dark red dragon turned and advanced on Nyota, that's when she bolted as fast as her legs could go. She was still so young, and yet she was still faster then the older dragon. She ran hard and far, her heart beating fast. She used the forest as a way to slow him down. She just kept running until she came into a place where there were a lot of Apple trees. She was then slammed into a tree by the dark red dragon. He pinned her down and snarls in her face. She closed her eyes waiting for the teeth to close in around her.
The bite never came cause the sound of thundering, running hooves reached both their ears. A blur of red rushes past the dragons legs and then a powerful kick makes the monster scream/roar in pain. A HUGE earth pony had just broken the mighty beasts leg. He grabs the injured foal by the scruff of her neck and bolted to the red barn. The dragon chases then until it gets slammed into by another big dragon. This one was purple with green eyes and back scales. He was as big as the dark red dragon himself, this was his special ability to change his size. 6 other ponies were with him, including a purple alicorn. He confronted the monster himself, his rage coursing through his veins. he pins the dragon and snaps his neck, killing the merciless murderer for good.
He shrunk down just as a white unicorn with a purple mane runs to him and worries over his wounds. He smiled and kisses his love assuring her he was okay. It was then he went to the Cider cellar, where the red stallion and foal were hiding. He opens the door and the red stallion walked up with the foal hiding under him. The purple dragon looks at his friend then the foal. "Big mac, is the lil foal ok?" the stallion spoke in a semi deep country voice "Yeup, just a few cuts and a hurt wing".
When the foal looked out form the stallions protective legs, she could see a huge gathering of other equines coming over tot he barn. Including 4 alicorns like her mother. One was the purple one who was standing by as back up for her dragon friend. One was pink with a handsome white and blue maned unicorn stallion by her side. One was white with a rainbow colored mane and was the biggest of all the Alicorns, the same height as her mother. And the last one was a dark nightshade blue with a mane that flowed like rippling water and looked to be the blue/black night sky with stars.
She whimpered as the other ponies came closer. Big Mac moved and revealed what she really was. Most of the citizens of the town back away quickly, pure fear and in some anger in their eyes. She whimpered feeling vulnerable. The purple alicorn walks close and examines her closely, checking her wounds with tender touches. The largest one walked over and told the one called "Big Mac" to take the foal inside his home so she was not as fearful. The Nightshade colored alicorn spoke with the rest of the Alicorns as Big Mac takes the foal inside. He was the one who tenderly bandaged up her wing and other cuts.
Once everything settled, the princess's came inside and asked her why the dragon was after her. She was huddled next to the purple dragon, the one they call Spike, while the white unicorn, called rarity, put a blanket over the foal. She told the whole group of what happened that very day, of her father and mothers deaths, of the group of dragons attack. tears dripped down her face as Rarity dabs her cheeks with a handkerchief comforting the foal. Soon she was just huddled in Spike's hold against his chest. His loud purring calmed the foal and she soon was sleeping.
The group had a meeting while she slept, on who would be able to care for her and raise her. the Princess of the night asked if she could be her mother. the group was shocked that she would take on such a responcibility. then spike spoke up "Well, she could live with me and Rarity where she would be safe". Big Mac spoke after Spike "She could also liv' here where she could learn hard work and go to school." they spoke about it some more and then the one called Fluttershy spoke up. "Well, um...she could live with Spike and Rarity for a few days. then here with the Apple Family. And you can come visit her and teach ehr new things whenever you wish Princess Luna". Everyone looked shockingly at fluttershy before she spoke again. "And well, if you all are too busy to watch her, I could have her stay in my cottage and show her a thing or two". Soon it was agreed that Luna would be Nyota's new mother, and she could live with any of the ponies who lived in Ponyville, including Princess Twilight Sparkles castle.
So form then on, Nyota was apart of one big family. She primarily stayed at the Apple farm of the Boutique with Spike and Rarity. Luna visited her so much and taught her as much magic as she needed to know. Nyota was actually very happy with her new family. She adored Spike most of all along with Luna. Both were important to her. Rarity would spoil her rotten with dresses and different hair paces. The Apple family helped her get stronger and she loved working with them on the apple bucking seasons. She learned to fly fast and quick thanks to RainbowDash. She also learned to be gentle, quiet, and able to understand all animals thanks to Fluttershy. She loved helping PinkiePie plan parties and set up decorations. She ADORED the books in Twilight's castle and reads just as much as the "Queen" of books herself.
As she grew older she met more kinds of ponies and learned a lot more about ehr world. She has met some ponies who took to her and were very kind to her. One being called "EmberShadow", another called "Cobolt", and she evne met the mysterious "Prince Severe Point". She has grown into a wonderful young princess, she is immortal thanks to her mixed bloodline. She stopped aging at the age of 16. She has gone off and explored the Everfreeforest and has met the Queen of Changlings herself and her son, who seemed to have grown a liking to Nyota in secret. She has even made friends with some of the changling scouts, one becoming her personal bodyguard in a disguise of a unicorn.

Her father- Dragconis who was the color of dark turquoise and had dark brown eyes.
Her mother- IvoryLilly who was a white rouge Alicorn with a dark blue and dark green mane and tial with bright blue eyes.

Her cutie mark is a heart made of several layed of fire of different blues. It shows her fiery passion for her family and friends. And how she wont stop at nothing to protect them and to quench her raging fires of revenge on the dragons who slayed her parents.
