Being a pass holder of "Disneyland" the wife and I decided to spend the week celebrating both the unveiling and to celebrate the newest movie of theirs, "Zootopia".  Had a blast!  Such an incredible movie. Really an amazing film!  Was very fun to see the premiere in Downtown Disney :)

( I'm not sure who the sculpted piece was made by so I am fully crediting "Disney" )

Yeah I'm so glad I took those photos when I did. Because it was strictly a premiere event, the area was closed off and they've already removed these adorable statues.

Aren't you making a small mistake, or is there something I don't understand ? Pixar didn't do Zootopia, it's produced and made by Disney, isn't it ?

No your absolutely correct!  Thank you for mentioning that it is indeed primarily "Disney". Infact it also broke "Frozen's" record already too :)

Disney bought Pixar. They are one in the same now. Why do you think all the new disney movies all the sudden because amazing and incredibly popular.

That's true too

Being owned by a company and being that company isn't exactly the same thing. They are still two different studios. The same can be said of Marvel and LucasFilm.

You're right in the sense that Disney own more than 50% of Pixar's stocks, which makes them their owner, that's correct. But if another company is able and allowed to buy back those 51%, that other company becomes Pixar's owner, but not Disney's owner. With enough money, even Pixar could buy itself back.

Pixar and Disney aren't one and the same. They are still two different animation studios, which is why The Good Dinosaur/Inside Out has Disney AND Pixar's logo on it, but Zootopia/Big Hero 6/Planes only has Disney's.

Look great. I live in EU (but I went to the Annaheim Disney park once). I will be in the European Disney Land next Sunday though. :) (And yes I am also an annual pass holder for that park for around 7-8 years now.)

We go several times a year too. We are huge "Disney" fans, being a pass holder saves quite a bit of money if you know you'll be going several times :)

Indeed it does. :) Not only for the park itself. It also saves money (at least here in Paris) for parking, the restaurants and so on.
In the past I did go much more frequently but I do not have someone to join me right now so I am going alone and it is not as fun to go alone. :(

Yeah it's great with free parking and all the dining savings even in Downtown Disney as well as some surrounding sister restaurants and hotels too.  :D

I don't use the parking too much unless I'm in a hotel more than a block away. The blocks in Anaheim are MASSIVE, and I usually am at either a Disney hotel or one on the main strip. But a few times I have gone with friends to a much cheaper hotel to help them save on expenditures. In which case driving to the park and taking their tram is a much more conveniency

Yea, in Annaheim I was in the hotel as well (If I remember right it was the fairfield hotel just across the street).

Here in Paris I live just at the other side of Paris (so ap. 45min with the car depending on the traffic). So I do not stay in a hotel but just go there from home. :)

That's definitely a major conveniency too if you just live within an easy driving distance
