Been looking at my Nova Class drawings and came to the conclusion that they were really technical sketches rather than real, usable drawings per se.
So I'm redoing them in Photoshop using the line and selection (stroke outline) tools.
You can see a preview of the completed plan view in the red guide layers as well as the original version in the bg.
Will be putting this, and maybe the others, in scraps when the new, improved ones are posted.
Progress report on the Nova Class upgrade project
Made it to the back of the main hull and started cloning certain repeating parts for later use.
Changed retro engines exhaust channels to reflect how the more regular bow geometry turned out. Changed side trusswork to a more structurally sound configuration.
Progress update:
Finished the Port side elevation view.
Finished the bow (front) view.
Started on the stern view.
I've begun to notice that the better drafted linework seems to be having less and less in common with the original sketches.
Nova Class Upgrade Project progress report:
Finished Elevations.
Started on Ventral view.
Terra Incognita, here. There was no ventral view in my original sketches.
Done in Photoshop elements 7 with a mouse using only the line and marquee (outlined) tools.
