awww left the younger one without a mother...i guess he didn't have much choice in the mater but still is always sad when someone who was never given any choice but to be bad has to be put down...especialy when she has such a cute butt [*giggle*] maybe the little one will get lucky and since shes probly useless as a fighter now, that leg will never heal right, shell end up doing something less dangerous...and less evil...asuming the preds don't just put her down...or tosh doesn't but he doesnt seem the 'kick them while there down' type.

Sooo... I'm kinda new to this comic, but I gotta ask... am I really supposed to believe the guy who brutally caved in a mother's skull in front of the daughter he easily crippled and then casually chucks the corpse like so much garbage without a thought has a "good heart"? Am I missing something here?

Oh I read it, went back and read through the whole thing. Still doesn't change my previous statement. He still got her in a helpless position where he could do a number of non fatal crippling things to her, even do what he did with less force to knock her out or at least stun her long enough to cripple her, and afterwards thinks nothing of his actions to the point of dumping her corpse like a sack of garbage.
It doesn't help that you took the time to point out they were slaves trained by Toh after we've seen how he uses torture, rape and humiliation to break his victims down so they can be "trained". And not even gonna get started on the necro panty shot.

Do you think Toshubi knows that they are slaves made by Toh? Lets not forget that both mother AND daughter tried to kill him just a few pages ago. Where was your sympathy then? All Toshubi knows is that they were BOTH trying to kill him and he did what he felt was necessary to survive. Toshubi isn't the type to leave loose ends lying around. Yes Toshubi is an assassin, a killer, a murderer... but who made him that way? He used to be just a simple farmer and killing was the farthest thing from his mind. (Unless you consider butchering livestock on the farm for food.) Feel free to voice your opinions and ideas though. I do like hearing what others think. It helps me decide what kinds of choices some characters make in the future. As for the necro-panty shot... That's just how I felt that short skirt of her's would fall.

Look, I'm not trying to be a dick here... I like the comic. I wouldn't be wasting the time and energy here if I didn't and I hope you are sincere about hearing out my thoughts and opinions.
As the author you have given us enough information to sympathize with the Futikas as well as Toshubi. You've shown us Toh's creepy closet collection waiting for them if they fail to protect their master. It doesn't help things when you humanize Zari by shifting her motives from fighting for her master to fighting for her daughter.
Now at this point, if Toshubi had killed her suddenly in a way that precludes any option for mercy, say a strike to the throat that collapses her windpipe or breaks her neck, it would have come off as a sad and unavoidable outcome that only happened because Toh is a sadistic fuck who likes turning a mother and daughter into sex toy bodyguards who have no choice but to fight for their master. Instead Toshubi grabs her by the ankles and lifts her up so she's dangling and at his mercy. The move seems very much planned and deliberate and gives him an opportunity, as I said before, to stun and cripple her, removing her from the fight by non-fatal means. He crushes her skull instead and with little thought. It doesn't come off as his simply doing what he needs to survive and it deeply undermines him as a sympathetic character.
I'm not saying this because I want you to "take it back" and rewrite the panel or magically make everything okay by bringing Zari back to life or some stupid crap like that. What I'm saying is that it would probably be a good idea to re-humanize Toshubi before moving on to his revenge. Maybe have him look back as he hears such familiar weeping and sees not the loose end he almost forgot to clean up, but a child crying over the dead broken body of her mother...
It certainly would be a good opportunity to show that he has that good heart Betsy is talking about when he has a moment of regret seeing something eerily similar to a similar scene in a much earlier chapter of the comic. He doesn't have to go all soft and walk away, but showing he recognizes the danger of becoming the thing he hates in his quest for revenge.

YES!!! I am so glad you see that! (No really... I really am glad!) You are absolutely right! As the old saying goes... "Be careful when wrestling monsters, lest ye become one yourself." I did humanize the Futikas so you would feel at least SOMETHING when they were harmed/killed. All too often I feel that the minions get slaughtered and nobody gives them a second thought, I'm glad to see that you don't. Sadly, Toshubi is a VERY angry furry and he has a 'take no prizoners' mind set at the moment. We can only hope that Jessica can bring him back from the brink of total self destruction... If it isn't too late already. Thank you so much!! ^.^

I always got that. I just suck at communicating things sometimes. Also the point of me saying it is that he is in desperate need of a moment of clarity quick, and maybe it won't take magical voices speaking from the beyond to do it. It wouldn't be unreasonable for him in this mindset to decide that letting the daughter live is not worth the trouble but when he turns back, what he sees is too similar to when he walked in to find Jessica over her mother. Just a suggestion.

Well that scene could also wait until after he's killed the Daimyo and finds them like that... The point is they can serve a further purpose in the narrative than demonstrating how angry and violent Toshubi is becoming.
