Honestly, since we're semi briefly discussing head cannons; I fear for young flurry hearts future. Flurry heart, crystal heart...natural born alicorn...her destiny is pre-determined at this point in time. She's the official born heiress of the crystal kingdom. Of course, this is assuming that cadence will live a finite rather than infinite life....which only adds to the sombre future only on the horizon of those among old enough to think about it.

actually, hasbro themselves released a genetic table, a pungent square rather that shows the genetics for ponies, 2/4th chance it will be an earth pony as they are most common, 1/4th chance for either unicorn or pegasus, and 1/4th chance for an alicorn, a natural born alicorn hasn't been seen since celestia and luna were born, but they are VERY rare, it's like getting a ginger kid 3 times in one go kind of rare, but even someone like the cakes could have an alicorn baby due to having pegasus and unicorn in the bloodlines, the chances rise slightly if a pegasus and a unicorn mate together, cadance was naturally born a pegasus and shining of course a unicorn, raising their chances of an alicorn baby, added to the fact that cadance is the princess of love, adding to the chance
