Hi guys, I’m working on a bit of a project and I hope I’ll get farther along before getting too distracted with other stuff… Anyways, the project is this summer camp idea and it’s currently in its early planning stages, like laying out the setting and making a cast. I did develop a little description of the camp, mind you this description would most like found on the brochure of the camp….
Camp Lakeside Woods is an all boys’ camp for teens 13-17 with the premise of developing a sense of community, independence, and responsibility in these youths, while also getting back to nature.
We at Camp Lakeside Woods also hold open minds and with our naturalist roots we have a clothing optional policy.
Though, one thing that you most likely won’t find in the brochure is the mention of sex that will go on throughout the camp. ^ ^P
Moving on, the main reason I am posting this is to help fill in the staff positions that I have designated for this camp. so, I’m going to make a list of the positions with a short description and the number of spaces that they have. I will have a little template near the bottom to show how I expect someone to apply to a position. But a reminder, I will have final say on who gets what job.
1. Camp director-filled-the one in charge of the camp, deals with the paper work, knows the most about the area, does the first tour, and the one who deals with camp issues.
2. Activity director-1-the one that plans out all the big activities that will happen throughout the camp, needs to be present for the team build exercises, and host the competitions
3. Boat house director-2-incharge of boat safety and lessons, and keeps track of boat equipment.
4. Sports director-3-they are responsible organizing sport type events, provide as referees, and are in charge of safety of certain sport areas of the camp. (designate an area of specialty, track and field, team sports, endurance)
5. Art director-1-the one in charge of the craft cabin, making sure the supplies are up, and plan out big projects
6. Medical personal-2-they are in charge of the health and well being of all within the camp grounds and has knowledge of advance first aid.
7. Maintenance-4-they are in charge of taking care of the main campgrounds and repairing of camp equipments
8. Cabin counselors-9- are the group leaders, most responsible of the teens under their care, spends the most time with the teens, and decide on how much time is spent doing a group activity. (One counselor per cabin, cabins are divided in sets of three marked by color. Red (energy/active), green (building and nature), and blue (water based).)
9. Tree house counselor-1-is responsible for a special group of campers, the campers who choose to do part time work at the camp, the counselor are responsible for making sure the special campers are doing their duties when they should.
10. Roaming counselor-varies min 10-takes up different responsibilities, from assisting directors, providing as lifeguards, or as back up for the other counselors. This position is the most versatile of the staff. And the roaming staffs rotate their jobs daily.
11. wildlife expert- teaches survival skills and head all the hiking trips.
Now, since this is a boys’ camp, the staff needs to be all male. And the universe setting is fairly simple, no dragons or mythical beasts, only minor hybrids. (no bull- lion-shark combos or anything too complex.) and basic animals.
Applying for a position
Name
Species
Sub, dom, switch
Top, bottom, versatile
Short description or link to a character sheet
*minor update* list the top three position you would like to apply for.
*minor update 2* if your interested, but don't have a character that fits. you could fill in the first two things then say your choice. or use this as an opportunity to create a new character.
*minor update 3* another choice is to randomly fill it in the first four and i could create something from it.
On to a different subject of this idea, a problem I ran into in past projects, the map of the setting. I always have some trouble setting one up so I’m asking if anyone would be interesting in helping create the camp’s map and maybe the area around the camp.
Oh, one more thing, if you have a question, feel free to ask. ^ ^
