If my maths is right 3 cats can catch 99 mice in 99 mins, so if the 3 gang up on the last one thats 99.9 mice in 100 mins? Close enough XD

here is my link to the quiz: https://inkbunny.net/journalview.php?id=57230

The more i think about this question (in the shower 5 mins ago) and the semantics of how it is worded i'm inclined to say 1 cat catches 100 mice in 100 minutes. Assuming each cat catches 3 mice in 3 minutes 3/3 = 1/1. Therefore 1 cat could nom 100 mice in exactly 100 mins!

3 cats can catch 3 mice in 3 minutes
It depends if the cats go after the mice simultaneously or not. Provided that they go after them simultaneously, it would take the 3 cats 10 minutes to catch 10 mice, 99 minutes to catch 99 mice, therefore 100 minutes to catch 100 mice.
The correct answer is 3 cats.

3 cat's
3 cat's catch 3 mice a minute
Unless they get tired the 3 cat's can catch 33 each in 99 minutes each while all try can gang up the final mousie in the last minute.

So, I believe that the answer is 3.  If the three cats continue on their pattern, then they would theoretically catch 100 in 100 minutes.

The correct answer is 3. This is adapted from a puzzle from the Professor Layton series of games, by the way.
