I am writing this journal to appeal to the kind and generous nature of the furry fandom. I have seen it in action many times, and when things were going well for me, I was happy to contribute to it as well.
The simple truth of the matter is: I could really use your help.
A combination of temporary unemployment and health issues has knocked me down the last few months. I had a mild stroke back in April, and the cost was intimidating; I appealed to local and state aid and was able to negate most of the health care costs. Though things are definitely starting to look back up again, at the moment all financial resources available to me are completely depleted. I have no way to take care of basic necessities such as rent or groceries.
Please let me make two points perfectly clear:
1) These donations will go toward essential living expenses only: rent, utilities and food.
2) Please do not donate if you are currently in a strained financial situation. If you can help, that is wonderful; but don't overextend yourself monetarily in order to do so.
