I think my character *iankeaton* has really changed since the original design. The jacket, collar and cowbell are what my character usually wears. Sometimes other outfits are used but those are the basic outfit pieces. The current outfit was designed by avabun with the bell on the left side of the jacket and star on the bells.
The ears though probably over the last year or so have gone under the most changes though. Its at the point I don't know if I can really call my character a regular fox anymore. I don't remember why I started drawing my character with the ears down but it stuck. I think some of the art done by Ende or avabun started to draw them like it years ago but I cant remember. Then in 2012 tatotake drew my character in their style. The ears were more to the side than completely down, but started to get more fuzzy.

I thought about it and I've talked it with a few friends about the idea that the ears simply cant be raised over the head on their own. They don't have the muscles to be able to do it which is why they ended up like that.
So what do you think, is my character 100% fox or a fox/rabbit/dog hybrid now? Personally I think its the later.
so then i would say, make sure every artist knows that, instead of having them assume, i wouldnt like it if they called my sona a rat or possum, im a mouse :P

yeah I"m going to do that, I normally refer to my character as a fox in the notes for references but left the ears long. Just recently considered changing the species because of it.

the long ears dont determine the change, heck fennic foxes have huge ears, so i mean its all your preference and your decision, regardless, cute fox butt anyway
