So I did a thing on Mario Kart 64 X3 something that I would only think to see in parody cartoons. So on the beach level of the mushroom cup, if you haven't played or don't remember, there is a ramp that leads to a tunnel shortcut which will cut the entire race in half. You need a mushroom or a precise jump to make it through. At the start of the race, I fucked up the boost and spun out. I started the race in 8th place. The first item I picked up was the blue shell, which moves along the track until it hits whomever's in the lead.
So I fired the blue shell. Later I was coming up on the tunnel. I didn't have a mushroom so I wanted to see if I could make it through with a jump... and I did! So I cut across half the track, and came out of the tunnel in 1st place. That's when I was hit by my own blue shell
