Roll to Impeach

You can have the perfect case.

You can have all the evidence in the universe against the Entropy.

The Entropy himself can sabotage all of his defenses with his inflammatory tweets that Sean Spicer (who may be starting to act like the Brutus/Damar of this nightmare administration) announced are now official statements.

The Entropy may be hamstrung by years of cheating and ripping off attorneys that have strained themselves to defend his indefensible actions; where normally they would trip over themselves to rush to defend someone of such high status, here even the ambulance chasers want no part of it.

And the Democrats and investigative team can still manage to fuck all of it up, possibly intentionally.

In the realm of D&D and tabletop games, you probably know all too well the fickleness of the dice and how they can fail you even when all of the elements are in your favor. That happened in the conclusion of my Star Wars game, when the bard stand-in of the group tried to rally the Clone Troopers in preparation for the final battle, and based on the weird Calvinbally rules of that particular game, managed to both critically succeed and epically fail at the same time, and ended up causing Order 66 to happen ahead of schedule.

It was hilariously disastrous for both the Jedi and my character (who was the self-appointed bodyguard of the Jedi), but that was a game.

This issue in our politics is very much real. The Entropy has proven time and again that he cannot properly manage himself, and that his staff has to force him into line by keeping him so busy he has no time to vomit out whatever is currently slogging through his brain on Twitter and potentially damage his credibility or already meager defenses even more. You can bet your asses that the people in charge of the hearing will have their smartphones at the ready like they did last time.

Today is going to be the day of reckoning for the Entropy, where the former FBI Director James Comey will give further detail into his private encounters with the Entropy from January up until he was fired. Comey's memos on the encounters have been publicly released already, if you want to go read them for yourself. This is standard procedure for the FBI, to make physical documents of meetings like this and basically record everything that could be considered relevant, and they are considered to be as credible as credible can be.

Long story short, the Comey memos detail how the Entropy repeatedly asked Comey if he was under FBI investigation, and then asking on multiple occasions for Comey to swear his loyalty to him in the ancient language, which goes against so many ethical standards that are in place for very good reasons, not the least of which is a conflict of interest. The entire point of the various branches effectively being islands unto themselves, especially non-partisan outfits like the FBI, is part of the checks and balances guaranteed by the Constitution, so we don't get some Glorious Supreme Fearless God-king Fuhrer who use those other branches to throw his weight around and, in the case of the FBI, use them to attack political opponents. It may seem far-fetched, but given everything that has happened and what kind of sociopath the Entropy is and what he tried to do here, we can no longer afford to rule out improbabilities.

The Entropy repeatedly tried to coerce Comey into going along with his Scooby Doo antics up until he fired him. His language in these encounters have been more akin to a mafia boss, passively complaining about one thing or another (primarily the Flynn investigation, which the Entropy insists he is not involved even when he clearly is) that impedes the job he isn't doing and trying to coerce Comey to put a stop to all of it. Supposedly this is what led to the firing; the Entropy trying to put a hard stop on the investigations he didn't like going on by firing the FBI Director.

Like Aku from Samurai Jack, however, the Entropy proves to be the instrument of his own destruction.

Now a private citizen, Comey released all of the information he had on their encounters. In the first hearings back in April to begin an FBI investigation into the firing and hire a special prosecutor, the Entropy tried to coerce and vaguely threaten Comey, again in mafia boss language, by claiming he had "secret tapes" of their conversations. What he thinks is an excellent poker face fails him when we're playing Liar's Dice and he just announced twelve fives.

Here's the video that will explain it better than I could.

For those of you who can't be arsed to click on the link or think Olbermann is unbearable, here's the short version.

1: The Entropy just threatened a private citizen to try and coerce an ongoing federal investigation. No matter his supposed title, both of those things are a crime.

2: The Entropy claims tapes of the conversations exist, and he could be subpoenaed (basically the courts force him) to relinquish the tapes for the investigation. If they exist, in order to exonerate the Entropy, absolutely everything he says in the supposed tapes have to prove his claims correct and everything Comey said to be an outright lie.

3: The tapes exist but back up Comey's claim, further damaging the Entropy's defense and potentially fast forwarding us down the road to impeachment.

4: The tapes exist but the Entropy refuses to let anyone listen to them, making him guilty of violating a federal subpoena.

5: The tapes exist but are destroyed before anyone can listen to them, intentionally sabotaging the Entropy's own defense.

6: The tapes DON'T exist, in which the Entropy is guilty of fabricating evidence to aid obstruction of justice.

7: The tapes don't exist, but someone else was recording all the conversations, including other conversations the Entropy was involved in, which incriminates him in god knows what. Suddenly the ball has taken an unexpected bounce out of the court and into the city streets on a trajectory very far out of the control he thinks he has over the situation.

And this investigation has long since spiraled out of the Entropy's control. Now there are investigations into his family, his businesses, his past dealings, his staff members, just about everyone he has ever worked with, and just scratching the surface, everything smells of Russia. Even his lawyer and personal attack dog has been shown to have ties to Russian banks.

Is there a single part of this guy that ISN'T involved with Russia!?

Yet despite all this, despite the litany of crimes that can stack up to infinity and the five millennia of retard luck that has just about expended itself protecting the Entropy from divine retribution in just these four months, the most damning part of all this is the establishment Democratic and Republican parties can BOTH fuck this all up, both intentionally and accidentally.

First, while the Republican party is what it is, the Democrats are just as bad, if not worse. Hillary's stance was about as sturdy as a bridge made of wet matchsticks and basically campaigned on the message of "this other guy is worse than me!", appealing to the perpetuation of the failing status quo and promising a maybe possibly kind of change several decades down the line, long after she and everyone that voted for her are dead. A large amount of the support for her was merely face value, appealed to the lesser of two evils  and to hopefully coerce her the instant she stepped foot into the Oval Office to start adopting some of Bernie's proposals. Which is the camp I was part of. Hell, that movement was already in play even during the campaign.

The problem is Democrats are completely genre blind and tone deaf and are playing to the artificial rules the Republican party has set in place. They're determined, perhaps even desperate, to play Kabuki Theater Politics and overreact to anything the GOP and the Entropy does, especially now, because they think it will work in their favor when the 2018 midterms roll around. They've been beating the Russia drums with greater ferocity than the people who started it in order to curry support again, but when you get past the "We're not that guy" offense, they have nothing at best, and at worst, they're bought by the exact same people as their political opponents. That's why so few politicians are willing to fight for free college, increased minimum wage or universal healthcare; it goes against the interests of their donors.

Making an enemy out of the Entropy might gain the Democrats a few extra votes, but once he's eliminated, it will introduce yet another vacuum in which they have nothing else to fight for or against. All they have are opponents; they gain power so it can be taken away again so they can campaign more to take it back to hold onto for the next time the Republicans take it away again. After their epic loss last year, they tried to take on Bernie's message, but ONLY to make him a figurehead for the party and curry support from his base, because he currently has the highest approval rating of any politician in the country. This is what helped give birth to the Justice Democrats. At the same time, they're trying to copy the election's scenarios and hire a celebrity or reality TV star of their own, from Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson to Jerry Springer, yes that one. They're nothing but stage actors who possess no real ideology, and they can potentially fuck up this entire investigation because so few of them are actually interested in finding out the truth and more interested in the time old tradition of party-based Kabuki theater politics.

The Republicans, at the same time, are either interested in the exact same thing as the Democrats or are using this golden opportunity to turn the country into the extreme right-wing Christian caliphate they always wanted while pretending they're the underdog and the rebellion. Career politicians who were ruthlessly mocked and insulted by the Entropy have thrown their lot behind him because of the letter next to his name, not because he's a reckless egomaniacal idiot who sabotaged our standing with the rest of the world in various ways and based his entire budget on a $2 trillion math error. They're the party that didn't want to pay back our debts to other countries just to spite Obama, which caused our credit rating to lower for the first time in US history. They're the ones that hold all the power now, but like the Democrats, they currently don't know what to do with themselves because they're so used to fighting Obama (in fact, they are still acting like he's the President).

A major reason why Paul Ryan's draconian non-healthcare bill failed to pass several times was because a lot of Republicans felt like it didn't go too far enough in price gouging people while stealing their healthcare. They are more divided than ever because they are now in control of all three branches of the federal government with no common enemy to unite them. Now they infight over pettiness on a daily basis, and no one seems to be in charge of the party except for Paul Ryan, who is more interested in fulfilling the wishes of his blessed waifu in John Galt's Heaven and destroy all concept of government and reign in an era of social Darwinist-based anarchy.

And this is the party that we largely have to rely on to impeach the Entropy and remove him from power. Despite the infighting, they could end up sinking the investigations or impeachment proceedings because they feel like it's attacking their party, even as their party is hijacked by a sociopath. The Democrats could also end up sinking the investigations or impeachment proceedings because the Entropy provides them an opponent to fight against in the midterms.

Anything could happen at this point, but the Entropy is not going to walk away unscathed. It's just how he's going to go down, when and why. As he continues to threaten our economy and our international standing and break the law in so many ways in his mad campaign to act like a god-king, more and more people are going to turn against him until the only thing he has left are the most rabid supporters who are utterly addicted to his personality cult and he's forcefully removed. And before you mention Mike Pence again, he's neck deep in the Russian scandal as well, and can be removed from office for the same reason as the Entropy (albeit for aiding and abetting), or shown to be incompetent and blind to the conspiracy that unfolded around him during the campaign and removed for that reason.

In that case, you can look forward to President Ryan, who is the number three in the chain of command and will be put in the very ironic position of being in charge of the most powerful position in the country while trying to destroy the government in its entirety. Which there are laws against that, and he'll be removed for that reason.

I talk about these things because I want to. If you don't like them, then don't pay attention to my journals (I'd tell you to mute them, but such a feature doesn't exist on IB. I'm actually intending to bring that up with the admins, because one particular guy on my watchlist keeps spamming my notifications with the same journal entries announcing journal announcements announcing journals to announce journals announcing streams. Yes, someone is actually doing that).

When it comes to the Hillary support, like I said, I wasn't too fond of her outside of her decades of experience, such as it is, but I was going to play the hand I was dealt and not spend the election grumping and bitching about the quality of the choices (or lack thereof) I was given. I would have preferred Bernie be the Democratic candidate. Since that didn't happen, I adapted and changed my tactics.

Hillary ends up being in the rare position where there's a lot of negatives about her that you can base an entire campaign off of, but the opposition had to keep going out of their way to fabricate and perpetuate insane conspiracies about her, primarily because they are also guilty of the exact same shit. Despite how many investigations there were into the 2012 Benghazi attack with each successive investigation increasingly biased against her, the Republicans could not find any evidence of wrongdoing. Either they are wholly incompetent or Hillary is more of an evil genius than we previously thought.

Everything involving the Monica Lewinsky scandal I throw out the window, and the people who try and perpetuate it with it. It was barely anything that was our business, and those impeachment proceedings were spearheaded by a piece of shit who divorced his first wife when she got cancer and the second because she didn't look enough like a President's wife for his liking when his delusional ambitions got the better of him.

Finally... Hillary wasn't fired as a lawyer, namely from the Watergate Investigations. She was with the committee as a junior staffer up until it was disbanded following Nixon's resignation. The man who made these claims, one Jerry Zeifman, was the Chief Counsel of that committee, but he was not her boss, nor did he have the ability to fire her, nor did he fire her, he even ADMITS that he wanted to fire her but couldn't, and he started making these claims in 1995, when it was trendy to bash Hillary, and it resurfaced in 2008 when the trend came full circle and the Republicans and other dissenters needed some red meat for their base to gnaw on.

I didn't spend much time investigating any of this. And by the way this isn't about Hillary. This is about the Entropy and his possible collusion with Russia and all but confirmed interfering with a federal investigation. It has gone very far beyond his actions during the election.

Sir, please do not presume to speak for me or anyone who is deeply concerned about the state of politics in the U.S.  Based upon the small sample of (English-fail) opinions you cite (thus also violating your 'no politics' etiquette order,) you display an appalling lack of understanding of the complex issues being discussed.  While this is not unusual for consumers of right-wing media poison originating from billionaire Robert Mercer, political ignorance is often seen in persons of low IQ and children of right-wing parents who do not care to educate their children Cite: ("well aparlty the way I was raised by my parents and how I feels I should raise my children in the future).

Lost did not write his journal to you or for you, and does not answer to you.  Ever.  For anything.  No one here answers to you, your church or your "moral high ground" , child.  And YOU have to answer to IB mods for your callout journal, trying to rally your Sonic porn watchlist into murdering the target of your callout journal.

Lost has done his homework.  His opinion matters.  And I am happy to read what he has to say on HIS journal, on HIS account, on a website YOU DO NOT OWN.

Please feel free to engage in a warp-powered childish tantrum, Internet Tough Guy.
