New monster type, new summoning mechanic, new changes to the game... Can it be time to quit Yu-Gi-Monz, now, or am I going to have to be strapped down and forced to play it?
Like Lightsworn or DDD/DD needed more cards. This new summoning methods sounds confusing reading it but I thought the same thing about Synchro until I watched the anime (I saw 5ds though Arc-V so I knew nothing about it before hand). I guess ill have to see the upcoming anime to get a better grasp.

Yeah, same here. They're just changing a whole lot of mechanics with this, it's crazy. Even worse, because of how it's set up, just one copy of Zany Zebra (which blocks off an unused zone if it's summoned or used as a pendulum scale) can totally cut off the opponent from their extra deck OR their ability to Pendulum Summon, entirely. I don't think Konami thought that through when creating this kind of format, honestly...
