Thank you, one and all or the happy birthday wishes. I truly love you guys. It warmed my heart to see t hem pouring in from every direction I could look. I cannot explain how warm my heart was ater all those wishes in my previous journal.I wish I could hug ya all at once or something. Butmy deepest gratitude is the best I can do for now.
The day was awesome. I mean, sucked I had to open at work, but a coworker bought a $25 gift card off o another coworker of mine, then proceeded to give it to Khuirous so she could treat me to a nice big birthday lunch! >///< First time I ever had steak at a restaurant because I always purposely avoid expensive items. It was so worth it.
for getting me a year's worth of PS+, so now I can go back and play Destiny and Street Fighter V again! I really missed those games a TON. My next goal is getting my fingers on a season pass for Street Fighter again. XD.
So again thank you guys for the gifts. They really do mean the world to me.<3

And tto those of you who absolutely dread today. Just move the goal posts a little, why don'tcha? Loveisn'tonly romantic. Make it familial. Make it platonic. Make it anything that DOESN'T make you miserable. Wallowing in self pity because you're "alone" (you're likely not really alone when you have friends) does nothing for you or make anything or anybody any happier to be around you.
Change the paradigm o what Valentine's day means to YOU and make it a good day. We urries are among the cuddliest mofos on a planet. If you have to, find a stranger and hug onto them, maybe they need to be hugged to. Cling to 'em and who knows, you may have found a way to be not-alone on such a holiday. Just a suggestion.
Do whatever it takes to be happy when you feel you cannot be. It's the best way to find success when you feel there may be none.
My issue with Valentine's Day has never been about being miserably single. I just hate the shallowness of the holiday itself. Expressing love is all well and good; but the inherent expectation to shower a significant other with expensive gifts just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

That's an understandable view of it. That's why, the way I play it, is I wrap everything up nicely in a single gift that represents the entire week since it's Birthday to V-Day to Anniversary literally every other day. So, as I said. I got her that Savage Garden special cd imported from Japan. And she'll get me what she feels she wants to for my Valebirthmaversary. If it's nothing but her love, I'm aight with that too.
