GM: General Murderers

I got a GM car because I thought they were higher quality and the customer service would be better. NOPE!!! So my car has a safety recall on it involving the wipers. However, I got the letter back in September 2016 and stated they were working on a solution. So today while I was getting some errans taken care of, the assembly separated from the motor which made the wipers stop working...WHILE I WAS OUT DRIVING IN THE BLEEPING RAIN! So I went home and got the recall letter and went over to the Chevy dealership to get it fixed. I talk to the service specialist and they want to charge me $139 JUST TO LOOK AT THE PROBLEM. So now I want to punch the guy out but I politely tell him to eat a male appendage. I go over to my mechanic and I tell him the problem. I also show him the letter I got and he was shocked at what it said. So the repair come to $271.58, yeah like I have that kind of money laying around with no job. So I go home and get on the phone with Chevy. Because in the letter it says that if I pay for the repairs before they are able to find a solution I will be payed back for the cost. I spoke to the customer care and they told me that since there is no solution yet I will have to wait until they find one. Ohhhh, I was not happy. I said, "So you mean to tell me that I have to pay for a defect that YOU ENGINEERS MADE for a safety recall that YOU ISSUED and I can't get any assistance in fixing the defect that JUST BLEEPING HAPPENED TODAY?!" "We are sorry sir but we can't give you the form until it arrives with the second letter." "Well do you know when I can expect it?" "Sorry sir I don't." "You know with Ford, when they find out there is a problem with one of their cars they figure out a solution and then issue a recall. You guys leave your customers high and dry and make them wait while they are driving around with a safety issue on their cars that could kill them. You guys are GENERAL MURDERERS!" Then I hug up. So yes I am more than just a little salty at GM. Ok...maybe more than a little salty. Like make GM drown in hot sauce salty, but come on, you have a customer who just had a serious problem happen and you won't do anything to help resolve it.

This may get a little bit long-winded so bear with me a couple of years ago there was a problem with the horn on Honda or Nissan and get this no recall was issued lol. Basically in truro all the dealerships were calling around from salvage yard to salvage yard too get horns;) I kid you not basically nearly every car they had on every lot in Nova Scotia the horns stopped working all around the same time. As I understand it the problem was water getting into the horn causing it to short out when you blow the horn. I remember being at this particular salvage yard when I found out about the problem that falls were ringing off the hook from multiple dealerships all callings salvage yard at the same time from different parts of Nova Scotia because they could get new   Horns from their suppliers and basically had dealerships full of cards they could sell because the horn doesn't work. I forget how many dealerships were affected and it was never even any mention of it in the media ;). a another issue you're going to love was with Dodge those funky sports car station wagons they started putting out a few years ago i was in at the Dodge dealership and this guy came in blowing a gasket because every time he stopped at a stop sign or a red light the rear end in his Dodge Magnum would make all these funky crazy noises and the car would shake he'd only had the car go to week.the manager of the service department said and I quote we don't repair bang bang shimmy shimmy shake shake. Come back when your car is broken and will not move.if its not broken we can't fix it.we dont have a magic crystal ball that tells us what a funny noise means. We first have to have something physically broken before we can fix it we already have five hear tying up our service they that we've spent several days trying to find something wrong in yhe rear and and we can't find anything to explain customers claiming the car is shaking and making funny noises in the rear so were no longer taking any on until they actually break. I've been in there several times where they would explain to a customer come back when it breaks they don't do funny noises and shaking sensations they're only interested in the vehicle being brought in if it has something physically broken that they can see. I've yet to hear about any recall on the Dodge Magnum's this was back around when they first came out lol if I had to guess it sounded like they were having a problem with low rear end fluid or the driveshaft if their rearwheel drive a unbalanced driveshaft would cause the symptoms the person described.my transmission went on my minivan which I might point out is a manufacturers defect from back in the 90s lol. my dad is driving a 96 which has a defective 3 L engine which they never did a recall on the 3 L engines in the 1996 too 2000 line were known to start leaking oil around a crack that develops in part of the motor and they just never did a recall and stopped making the 3 L engine in 2001 thar was a issue with the transmission in the 3 .0 and 3,3 back in the 90s thathey stopped having in the 2001 up line, hes the transmission went last year and ironically he found a transmission at a salvage yard which was a dealer replacementfor a 90's 1 where somebody had that transmission brake while the band was still under Warnke and it had been replaced and shortly afterwards the van ended up in an accident and in the salvage or heard lol. The transmission he picked up had almost no mileage on it and have the tags and everything showing that it was a dealership replaced the transmission.ive been expecting transmission to go in mind because it had about five times the mileage on it than the one that fried in his 96 lol. bin trying to get a van for parts cents October and haven't been able to find one because people don't bother trying to here in Nova Scotia cell vehicles older than 2001 it's gotten to the point they usually just take Them in for scrap metal without even trying to sell them.
