So started working on a new writing project which came to me in the wee hours of this morning when I began writing the first chapter.
Set in a completely anthro and feral world fairly similiar to our own, it is thrown into an apocalypse by a zombie-like virus nicknamed 'Mange' by the media. Unlike your typical zombie though, it doesn't make them a member of the walking dead. Instead, it makes anthros, particularly predator species, more feral in terms of instincts and capabilities. The victims of this virus lose the ability to think on the same level as before, regressing to the needs to hunt, survive, and breed. They become animal in all but body with most retaining only some speech. Infected through biting, Mange throws the world into chaos with the virus spreading and various non-meat eating species being slaughtered by those infected with Mange.
A somewhat dark and mature story, there will still be humor, adventure, and romance through it all.
Hopefully I'll be able to post the first chapter soon. I'd appreciate any input as well as character suggestions. I'll gladly include others characters if they wish.
