Things are still going according to plan on my end, but on a bit of a delay! I was supposed to start my new job with Motorola last week, but fumbles on their side caused my start date to be next Monday. Nothing too horrible, but it does mean I'm two weeks later on getting my significantly higher-paying job! Apart from finally getting a middle class income, I'm really looking forward to being in another job with lots of sketching opportunity.
And because of this upcoming increase in disposable income, my wife and I were finally able to move into our own home! We have a garage, a gigantic bathtub, and more space than we know what to do with~ However, because of that delay in my job start, we also had to borrow some money from friends to get things started. More specifically, some from my mother, and some from three of my friends here on Inkbunny <3
However, because we need to live super frugally during these few weeks, we've been relying on internet through our phones (rather than starting an internet connection and adding another bill). This would be all well and good for me exceeeeeeept... T-Mobile has been having issues with their towers and unlocked phones... As a result, I'm stuck connecting as "extended", which gives me a whopping 5kbps speed with an absurd packet loss! So, it took about 5 or so minutes for the "Create Journal" page to even load for me...
That being said, things have been pretty silent on my end mostly due to being unable to really upload anything. However, I'll have an internet connection once I get the new job. Plus, my workdays will come in 12-hour shifts, meaning that I'll have more days off every week than I have on. It won't be long before I stream with about the same consistency as I did in Japan~
