Well, it’s been a long, hectic and kind of a pain in the butt summer, but it’s just about over now and next week I start back to school. Even though I don’t take that many classes, studio classes tend to be long and this means that I’m going to have a lot less time in general with transit and out of class work to consider, so what does that mean for streams and commissions and such? Well generally there will be a lot less overall, but let’s break it down.
The first thing that is going to happen is that I’m just going to have less time to stream. I’m going to be going to bed earlier which will change my stream hours quite a bit. Instead of going to bed at 6AM and getting up at 2PM like I usually do, I’m going to have to be up at 10 AM which means I have to be in bed by 2AM at the latest. This is going to cut off my streams, so that means I’m going to have to move things back a bit and cut my streaming hours.
I’ll be stopping streams at 12AM at the latest (because I like having that two-hour buffer to eat and relax before bed), so what I’m going to do is cut the general streams down to four hours and start at 8PM starting next week.
I will be unable to do this on Mondays and Wednesdays because I won’t be home yet at that point and I’ll have spent most of my time drawing and painting in the studio anyway, so Tuesday and Thursday will be pretty much all I’ve got. I will TRY to start early on Fridays for Sketch on the Spot, at 6PM and we’ll see how that goes.
This also means, that if you’re having commission work done and you can’t show up for streams Tuesday or Thursday I’ll have to show you the progress via images as I’m working on them. Unfortunately, I’m not going to be able to make exceptions, save for very rare cases which I’ve already agreed upon. I’ll just schedule what I’ve got to work on for the days I have them and that’s what I’ll do until everything is finished.
(I have toyed with the idea of uploading more timelapse stuff to YouTube or offering videos of a commission’s creation as a novelty for a small fee.)
Now, that said, as for commissions, as of today all my commissions are closed until I’ve worked through my current queue. If you wish to commission me, you’re free to e-mail or note me, but I will not be able to take new commissions until those are done. If you’ve already sent me an e-mail or messaged me about commissions, then don’t worry, I’ve still got you in mind and we’re still good to go. I just want to get everything straightened out, as I have a few LARGE projects and they need to be finished before I schedule anything else.
