Patreon Abuse Resistance Education (PARE)

by
Rather than spending energy alienating decent artists that I may wish to actually pay to commission in the future, personal feelings aside, positive and negative aspects of this specific service have come to my attention effecting the community, being otherwise non-sequential.

Lets cut up some tasty PAREs. First, let me state that I do not and will never pay for extortion or idiot tax, that is best left to other users. A user on this site opened up questions on how to proceed, my response was pointing out mostly negative aspects of potential service abuse including the following:

-Lending personal and financial information to unknown servers, this should be high priority for ALL.
-High Quality hostage; reduced psd, etc.
-Money wasters (tips, donations, previews)
-Monthly payments (rent)
-Paywall incorporation
-Teasing
-Greedy large tiers ($100+)
-Paying for the luxury to ask "requests" or "commissions" otherwise automatically denied through direct means
-DCMA takedowns, admin wrath, TOS, PP, etc
-"Patreon only" access to works (paysite type)

Other users of the responses included several positives to be considered:
-Enabling options for artists and users
-Easier(slightly) to commish, paying for services rendered
-???
-Profit!

Conclusion: The negatives seem to outweigh much everything else :/

Posting a good sized .png of your works is not hard to do, as many do and am most grateful; posting is what this site is for with no cost to the end user, as is my policy which is a good one, spawning free-flowing creativity(and boners), but trying to use it to scrape currency out of users is bad practice and it should be forever shamed.

If I want something I will pay for it. If it is restricted because I do not wish to pay for it, it evades the very fundamental intended use for the site and only mostly irritates the user, myself included. Creating huge paragraphs of explanation is usually not my style but it seemed to be needed here. I am not closed minded however and take conversation about these aspects openly, positive or negative.
