It might be because you kind of have a habit of constantly asking for art. That, and with this journal in particular, you have a time limit attached. The way you go about asking for art comes across as desperate, and that makes artists not want to work for you because they feel that it isn't worth it. Plus, everyone has a lot of stuff to do, artists are artists, they have other people asking for their work as well

I'm not saying you're doing anything wrong, and I'm not saying that you shouldn't ask for art. I'm merely offering an explanation. Perhaps take a break from asking for so much art, give yourself a break and just enjoy looking at other people's work instead of asking for some of your own?

I'll also add that I enjoy drawing for you, Max is a cool character with a neat design x3

The only reason I haven't jumped on drawing the Jersey Devil thing is because, right now, I honestly don't have enough time. I'm just now starting to finish up moving to my new house, and only just got Internet two days ago. I have a lot to catch up on from when I was away, and a lot left to do for the move. Any other time I would of had it drawn by now xD

It's Halloween I don't ask for a lot of art often so I decided to pic the themed ones to go for this month...the reason I asked for so much is because not too many people replied to the first three journals...besides I included that you aren't to work for me unless you had some sort of free time because I didn't want to help crowd the artist with my request. It's not exactly a habbit it's this season/month that's why the limit is there because after the 29th it takes about two days to draw for a simple artist so I may be able to get what ever pic I asked for by then... unless like you said something slips up.
