Having had to lose a dog myself due to the vet costs being so high and being unable to afford the procedures that might have saved her..This strikes close to my heart.
Champ's dog sniffed a foxtail grass plant, ( http://www.almostheaven-golden-retriever-rescue.org/fo... explains the dangers of said plant to dogs ) and now is in dire need of some help. Vet costs are EXPENSIVE. To put it into perspective:
A visit alone after hours costs about 100. Then there's examinations, which run up another 50-100. Then there's medicine, possible surgery...Shots...It easily, EASILY can run up to 500 dollars or more for an emergency visit. Most people can't afford that and rent, so they're stuck to using a credit card. Credit card bills pile up and up.. Y'all get where I'm coming at. It sucks majorly. and it sucks even more to have to lose a pet because you can't afford the emergency procedures that might have saved your baby...
I lost my baby that I had for 12 years when she slipped on the tile floor and threw her neck out of place. Couldn't afford x-rays, surgery, anything. Costs us about a thousand to simply put her down and get her cremated, would've cost even more to do surgery that might have helped. :/
At the least, take a look at his journal and send consoling thoughts.
