welp after 14 months my tablet died this morning, really sucks

until and if I get a replacement intuous, I was thinking of getting a monoprice tablet, has anyone used one?

EDIT:  to help procure a new tablet, I will be raising the donation level of pages 10 and 11 of Crazy Mares to $50 and any commissions would be appreciated

Sorry to hear the bad news, if I had a tablet, not telling where I would be, I might even regain my passion for drawing.
Here's to hoping I may soon afford one.

I heard the only issue with the monoprice ones is compatibility with SAI.   hope you get stuff worked out :3

thanks XD  I dont use Sai so thats not a problem, the thing that may be annoying is it doesnt have an "eraser" on the pen itself, but hopefully a programmable key can do the same thing to change to eraser and back

So, that means pretty much any artwork you're doing will be on hold until you get a new tablet.

While I haven't used a Monoprice tablet, they seem to be getting rather good reviews from professionals that do.

I point a finger over at Ray Frenden, who has bought a good number of these things and reviewed them.

The only gripe I can personally find about non-Wacom tablets is the lack of being able to flip the stylus over to use the eraser.

This seems to be consistent across all of the older non-Wacom brands, but I haven't looked as much into the new ones.

On an aside, Mr. Frenden also points a good finger toward the Huion tablet series. Monoprice and Turcom/Huion use the same internal logic for the tablet, but the Turcom 10x6 beats out the Monoprice for having a detachable cable.

Hope this helps, man.

sure thanks for the suggestion.  I wonder tho if one of the buttons can be configured to choice eraser tool, I think theres a hot key for it, which would be just as easy
