So hi Inkbunny

So yeah, I registered a few days ago and was actually pretty impressed with how intuitive everything was. The whole site has a pretty clean look to it. I like it. Not too busy, fairly easy to find things, pretty sweet way of submitting stuff. I think what I'm most pleased about, though, is the stories. This is what story submissions should really be like and ever since YS converted to SF, it just hasn't really been the same.

I'm mostly a FA-goer, but already I do like what's going on with IB. I think it's pretty sweet so far.

Dunno if I'll really continue to post my stuff here, but it's probably not that shabby of a place to mirror my stuff at the very least. Particularly stories, since there are a lot of people complaining about no easy way to read the stories without downloading the .rtf files. Apparently I can submit stories in .doc and have them show up automatically. That would be incredibly sweet, but it means I have to convert all of my stuff from .rtf to .doc, so ehhhh, not super excited about that.

Yup, well that's about all, good things to say from someone that likes to complain.

If only it could do RTF as well. It's probably not impossible . . . I mean, it's a known standard.

Yeah, that would be even more convenient. I switched to exporting to .rtf because I kept hearing it was more "open" of a format than .doc, but I also hear a lot of the opposite, so it's like, hmmm. Oh well, maybe someday!

Well, it's basically what Microsoft used to try to maintain a monopoly while being "sufficiently open" to get other people to sign on to using their standard at all. It's perhaps more open than .doc, but .odf would be even more open. :-)
