I am fully returned to form!
Joking aside, things feel like they've settled down now (no jinxing!). Thanks to my commissioners for being so understanding, I still feel like I should have gotten everything done a while ago- but slow and steady has been the pace lately. Hopefully I can get back to speed now.
If you don't care about an update on my situation, you don't have to read further, everything below is me rambling. :3
If you wanna know, my stepdad got arrested. Don't weep or say sorry for me, he's a horrid guy. Drug use, gambling, the works. Wellllll...when he was arrested, I learnt just how much control he had over my mom's finances. Now I rent a room here basically, yes, I DO live here and help with the bills, but I digress- apparently, he took control over her disability checks and what not...
He ruined them financially, us financially. There are so many cards in her name for gambling, on his phone (which he BEGGED us not to look at his phone. Yeah.) I scrolled down the list of cards and never reached the end. I didn't know that was possible. Heck, money I gave him for bills he never used for bills apparently. I had to call my older sister for help in ORGANIZING everything, we had to call multiple lawyers, hash deals with repossession, we had to pick up the literal shit he left us when he got arrested, and it's still not tided over. But...it's peaceful here now without him. We found his drugs lying hidden, cleaned it all up, I've been helping my mom figure out her own finances, helping her write everything down (she has early dementia), and she's doing great. She still misses him and hopes he gets help and gets better...but I'm making sure she focuses on herself first, as much as she can at least.
Alrighty. Yeah. So, it's...neutral right now (knock on wood I don't wish to jinx anything q-q) financial stability is still iffy, his mess he left us is still being worked on, but it's neutral now and that's far better than bad. If you read this then thanks for listening to my ramble lol, I'll be posting more frequently now. (Oh, I do hope so, knock on wood a thousand times.)
Have a good day!
