uploader screwed up?

I've been trying to upload a pic to my gallery, but get an error message that the site couldn't create a thumbnail and doesn't upload the picture, I'm not TRYING to upload a thumbnail file, just the main image, is this a problem with the uploader or is it disabled for some reason?

Sorry for the inconvenience. There is a problem with uploading files right now. We will try to fix at soon as possible.

It should be resolved now. In short, a sustained spike of accesses (probably bots) from different IPs caused many new temporary access sessions to be created. The storage used for them ran out of inodes (file descriptors) so it could not create new files, which is required for upload and login. To fix it we cleared out the oldest sessions, longer-term we will need to move to different storage for these.

You can manually edit any hidden submissions created and publish as normal, or delete them.
