A sad holiday

So ..My Christmas was a crummy one IRL as my grandma of 97 years died on Tuesday before Christmas. Now I have a funerial to fly out to and well just everything sucks right now.

Well not all bad I mean my niece loved her gift and I got a video of it which was adorable and made me smile. But the emptiness of losing my grandma, even though I knew it would be soon, still put a very dark cloud over the whole thing.

Im so sorry friend.
I to had a Grandmother die the day before Christmas many years ago.
The pain never goes away but it does get better with time.

I am trying my best to distract myself and stay positive because she would want me to not let it cloud everything, but it is hard. Thank you for the kind words.

I'm sorry for your lose my friend, though the fact she lived to 97 is very impressive, only a little younger than my grandad when he passed a few years ago

I speak from experience, losing family before Christmas (And in general) is a mentally taxing thing. So if I can do something to offset the feelings of loss, I'm happy to do my best for a special friend.

Really sorry to hear that. I´ve lost my grandpa this year too. So I know how you must feel. His death came out of nowhere. It´s always hard losing someone this close in the family and who has always been around.

*hugs* I know the feeling and its shitty, but in time the hurt will fade, but for now remember the good days you had with her she would not want you to be sad all the time
