Blank Accounts

I hate how now & then I'll get a follow or fave notice & I'll go check their account to see if they're an artist or have any other faves I might find interesting & do a follow-back.

Only to find a completely blank profile with no faves & no posts. Seriously people, if you're going to wipe your account every time you log off why even bother faving or following?! And if you're that paranoid about your tracks you'd best delete the entire account & make a new one every time. Leaving the account online leaves a clear footprint to you.

Holy shit thank goodness I am not the only one who gets tired of that crap! I tend to just block and ban them from accessing my account. I of course keep tabs on them and do a network background check first to make sure they are not a rookie to the community...but that typically sums it up as a red flag. (In other news, holy crap a real journal! thank goodness! it is becoming a rarity these days x-x)

It's rare I actually block them but just a few minutes ago I did. Hit on one that was not only bare of info, submissions & faves but had all the followers & followed by wiped, too. That's too many flags for me, especially since they had faved nearly everything in my gallery, followed me & sent a friend request. Banned.

Hmm... that actually makes me think that maybe I should perhaps curate the accounts that follow me a little bit more than the little to none that I'm doing currently.

I mean, I get where you're coming from, but you can hide your favorites from public view in your settings. Just because you can't see their favorites page doesn't mean they wiped them. If they unfavorited it, you wouldn't see the notif in your inbox still x3. Some people are just here to jerk it and not interact, I was like that for most of my time here. Some people have good reason to be paranoid about the potential of people they know finding something to trace back to them, some people just aren't interested in the community outside of enjoying the art. But yeah, it can get a little annoying sometimes for sure. I just like knowing people enjoy my stuff, whether they interact or not personally.
