Today is September 2nd 2025.
If you have been following these journals you know I was hospitalized during the month of July. I might as well be honest; I had a mental breakdown and have been slowly recovering ever since my release. I can report that I am doing much better now than I was even for the first half of August. I'm getting rest, I'm back at work, and I am functioning. I can't say I'll ever be quite the same person I was before all this, but I haven't become someone radically different either. I'd like to resume my version of "normal" which is just to get back to work on my various projects, furry or otherwise.
Work has continued on Binxed! Chapter 3, but it has been slow. Things are expanding in terms of characterization and scenarios as I introduce some new characters, so really at this point I'm just sorta stumbling through a first draft. I'm not totally sure I like the direction it's going so it might need some tone tweaks even after I'm done. But I've got a sizable 5,000 words and growing and things are mostly going according to plan. Hopefully we will get a Chapter 3 sometime in September or October. Halloween is coming up anyway, which is Binx season. Can't make any promises past Chapter 3 as I'm not sure where I will take the series after that.
I'd also like to report that work has resumed on the BTBF novel. I almost had half a mind to upload a "preview" rough draft of one of the later chapters for Labor Day but didn't get around to it in time. The other plan is to release Chapter 8 soon to kind of get the ball rolling again.
I've got nothing to really report for Bits&Bobs. I could release a short story during the prequel era, but I've been unsure about what to release. Of course it's going to be time to start thinking about a continuation of The Mischievous Mistletoe soon.
