Payment system help

Nothing works.
Paypal, Stripe, Skill, Wave, Wise, Payoneer, Noda etc.
Many of them require info down to my house address. Or require a business to already be set up with information such as a website, references, and a verified national business ID.

Has anyone got any suggestions here? I have tried maybe, 18 of the current suggested ones.
It feels like I am going insane.

Unfortunately, the only one I've tried that seems to not require any personal info outside of just a name is CashApp and it's... kinda sketchy.

Clara uses cashapp, it’s not tooooo bad but yeah definitely feels sketchy sometimes.

One of the problems with CashApp and Venmo is availability, they are only available in the USA and Venmo, USA+UK
If you live in Latin America, the EU, or Asia, you cannot  create an account or send payments since they are designed for payments/transfers from the same country

that's not how it works, you need a valid SSN or a valid US ID + US Bank account

Paypal played a trick on me by permanently limiting my Paypal accounts and now I only have AirTM, Skrill, and Payoneer as commission payment methods. It turns out that those who asked me for commissions have a hard time using these other commission payment methods

I'm talking out of my ass, but can people buy prepaid cards (debit, credit, or store) and give you the account number/pin/redemption code?
Pain the asset to get the money back out into your account/hands, but it's what my brain came up with.
Pain for the customer too..-

that is odd Paypal never requested me any thing than my Email to open an account with them, how ever they do request me to have a bank account in dollars on the US bank in order to "deposit money there" so I could make them chash but with All now been sold online I don't really use it in cash at all.

I would assume so since they sponsor an Italy base racing team in Formula one, and it's run by Visa, there's that.

They backed out of the UK/EU to focus on the USA apparently.

Try Bitcoin, or other well-established, safe and secure cryptocurrencies. Perhaps some Stablecoins.
SoulCentinel
2 weeks, 3 days ago
Few people can pay with that.
And I don't understand a single system on how to use, store or covert to money.
TribalDragon
2 weeks, 3 days ago
that's how financial world works everywhere, you won't find a single platform that asks for taxing details. It's just how it works. To prevent money laundering, tax evasion and all that shit.
The only absolutely sanitized way is that you ask people to mail cash directly to a PO box under a fake name, sounds stupid right? And there's no way you can force everyone to buy and use crypto (buying and even sending crypto comes with fees anyways) This wasn't the case 10 years ago until fintech laws started to appear. Otherwise everyone who's looking for anonymity when receiving digital funds is fucked

I don't remember paypal ever asking me half the questions every single other site does.
It really did just let us send and get money however the hell we wanted with minimal security.
I might really be fucked without it.
TribalDragon
2 weeks, 3 days ago
That is changed now, paypal US really locks account features until you submit your social security number and a selfie.
Other countries normally just ask to link an actual bank account which makes it less intrusive but fintech laws are forcing everyone to simply reveal their identities for the sake of unlocking the full site

arty.ooo?
Ultilix

Yep, that. I have Chilean friends who use it and it's based in Australia, I remember trying it once and finding it fairly usable, but I didn't wanna make it my main payment method at the time.
SoulCentinel
2 weeks, 3 days ago
It may be perfect in many areas.
However I dislike that it won't give me money until I complete the art for a client and send it for approval.
It feels very controlling with many back and forth steps just to work. With the dozen clients I take at once, it could become tedious.
Ultilix
2 weeks, 3 days ago
That was my main reason for not using it as a primary payment method, however if you can't find any other possible alternatives, you might need to accept it as a necessary evil

so I ain't the only one ?

too bad. we gotta dev our own money transfer app XD

HeroicOnes

ProFee might be an option. They are an international bank courier and they accept Google Pay on the payers end, which would give you more options. The payer can send money directly to a bank card instantaneously, meaning all you need is a card that works with ProFee. Check their web page, they have pretty solid documentation. Fees are even a bit cheaper than PayPal and since you get it directly onto a card, there would be no transfer fees.

The one obvious downside is that your clients need a ProFee account but that is about the only one I can think of.

I mentioned it as an afterthought last time but you could see if Artconomy can work for you. Also vaguely remember hearing about Paymentcloud, but issue is a lot of things are going to require business level information for business set up
whitepawrolls
2 weeks, 3 days ago
Solution is simple. if you're doing this as a business then setup a business address and quit trying to dodge the system. I see way too many artistes trying to do this nonsense.

paypal also screwed me ... for now I had no choice and I am using wise and soon payoneer ... i have seen other options but they do not give me much confidence or are too complicated or do not work for my country ... it is really not a nice situation

Have you tried Unifans?
worstofbest
2 weeks, 1 day ago
Regarding Unifans. I did a bit of digging. It does officially ban lolisho content on its platform. See this article.

> Any drawn, animated, or fictional material depicting characters that appear underage in sexual or suggestive contexts is prohibited.

If I understand Soulcentinel's use-case correctly, it's something like this:

* I need a way for commissioners to easily pay me one-time fees that I can cash out.
* I don't want to provide a lot of personal information.

Unifans might be viable, but only under specific conditions. Likely because the site is poorly moderated and is thus arbitrary. But even if you get banned from Unifans, you could probably remake under a different alias and try again.

The way this would work is basically this process:
* You sign up to Unifans and post some stuff that doesn't violate their content policy. I recommend noting this article.
* You open up some one-time payment system, like paid DMs, etc. Unifans has a few options. I recommend paid DMs as they give Unifans the least information. Then you test with a small amount to see if it works and you can withdraw.
* You use Unifans as a payment method. Customers pay with Paypal, and you cash out your stablecoins using an exchange. Don't post any content there you don't have to.

I empathize, SC, that crypto isn't a great medium of exchange. But in this approach, you'd at least not require that customers use it, too. If you can't find any better option, maybe this is worth a shot.

More info on Unifans. It looks like they banned lolisho as recently as March this year. If this article is to be believed (and I would take it with more than a few grains of salt, excepting perhaps the screenshots), they don't seem very interested in enforcing the ban.

I wish I have an answer to that, but unfortunately I don't. All I can think about sadly is a "when all else fails" emergency plan where you stop doing commissions, get a job, draw in your off-time and use SubStar as like a tip jar or something.
Yoshifan5690

By any chance, have you tried this site?

https://commiss.io/

A certain artist uses it that I know of, and from the sign up seems to imply that it dosen't require that?

live stream donations? or could just create another account and lie about product services you're giving if all that is required is a note of what the sale is for
Dachimotsu

You could always just accept one-time donations on SubscribeStar for commissions. They take a pretty big cut, though.

This might sound a bit out there, but does your banking app have the ability to cash checks via picture?

If so, theoretically you could accept payment via check, having customers send screenshots of the check which you then take a picture of it yourself to cash it. Unorthodox, but possible.

(Also, if you haven't looked into it, there's always good ol' Western Union. I don't even think the receiver needs an account.)
