Lost $600 worth of food lol

So i just want to mention, yes that's is the amount i lost, yes Norway is stupid expensive. In case anyone is going to ask if it costs me $200 USD a month to feed myself, it's technically more expensive but i don't eat dinner every day, more like 3-4 times a week.

So my chest freezer half full of food got turned off, i'm not sure if i accidentally turned it off or a fuse or something popped due to how warm my veranda gets when the sun shines but yeah, it got turned off and i didn't know until 3 days or so later and now all the food in it is gone, i've freezed it all so it won't stink when i take it to the dump but it's all too thawed out to be saved... fml lol

Anyway just wanted to air out some frustration as i now have to spend more money on food that would have fed me for 3 months.

Damn, that's a lot of money for food.. owo
Almost curious what you buy to get to that price, i tend to go for cheap or anything on offer.
I mean this is mostly dinner items and don't count for breakfast and supper, which would add up the amount tbh.

Well for starters. I don't eat breakfast to save money, I spend between $25 to $30 a day on lunch, around $12 on food before work, $5 to $8 on frozen dinner at work, snd $20 a week on snacks.

I don't know how to cook so I eat out everyday.

Damn, had that happen once to my family when i was a kid, never fun xc

Hope you still have plenty of other food to eat or at least some spare cash to buy some more if needed

Yeah it's not fun at all, i'll manage though.

After i get rid of the spoiled food i'll buy more but i have some dry foods that will get me by in worst case.
Head over to the swedes who have cheap frozen dinners lol

WOW $200 in food? I been thinking to going to live some where else since I was very young my "third world country" was in its own way a hell hole (and it still is in many things as any other country have its own problems) but recent world events have actually wanting me to stay here and I think that is the idea, fill you with fear that any where else is worst right now. $200 in food that is indeed a lot. was doing the math to local currency and that is what my family of 5 (including myself) use a month too. and that includes rent a vehicle food and other things, we also got 1 dog 2 cats a parrot and 3 turtles. but you just spend that in food. that is crazy!

I would recommend buying a freezer alarm.  If the temperature gets too high it will set off an alarm.  Ours didn't fully close and lost significant amounts of meat as well.

bro, it's bottom line 100 bucks a month per person to feed where I am. AND that's being really frugal. No treats. No fancy shit. No pre-made convenience shit.
