For multiple months I have said, and repeated, that Telegram is deleting cub channels and that we have no future there.
As of today we've been hit with one more evidence of this. Let me reiterate. It will happen to you. Multiple channels have been deleted so far. It started with private ones. Babyfur channels that weren't cub porn were also concerned. This has been also, as of late, applied to private channels, and private group chats. I believe this recently happened to
If you post cub porn on telegram this will also happen to you. In fact this will even happen if you're a regular babyfur, or even diaperfur artist, as I observed this with multiple people who do SFW babyfur, or art with only grown up furries in diapers, multiple times.
Again. Telegram. Will. Delete. Your. Channel. This is not a question of if at all. It will happen to you. Durov, especially since he got on the authorities radar for literally beating up a his 5 year old kid to the point of causing cerebral trauma, prompting the mom (with the kid) to leave him and go back to Switzerland, has been increasingly pro putin, presumably because he intends to go back if things go wrong for him. Under a false pretense of wanting to defend democracy, he has tried to overturn multiple elections of which the outcomes do not favor russia recently, pretending he has evidence for it, and backing the worst people in existence, whom we could then demonstrated cheated (EG in Romania's case). Telegram will very likely to become a Russian platform again, which is he warming up to.
I have gotten very weird responses to this.
"But furries are the essential userbase of telegram!" - We aren't. We are an INFIME minority of telegram users, in the infime minority of western telegram users. Telegram has billions of people on it - mostly all in places like Russia, eastern Europe, the middle east, etc that we simply do not interact with. Everyone and their moms in these countries has a TG account. Even in the west, we are a minority of the western userbase. Have you ever seen the conspiracy channels, the tartarian channels and groups, the flat earth shit, etc? Some of these have between 10 and 200K users, sometimes in a single country (Channels with names like "Flat earth + [name of country]". We represent nothing. "But discord is worse!" - Yeah. Don't go there, it's awful. I won't, either. I'm not saying I got a better alternative. "We should use irc again" - You do that buddy. "2025, year of the irc server" or something.
This will happen to your favorite cub group, this will happen to your favorite artists, this will happen to you, etc. We are not welcome. The furries, as a whole, some of whom are cheering for cub groups being deleted, are not welcome either, and the people who cheered for it will cry when it will turn on them.

I don't know. Have fun. I won't make another cub channel, it will get deleted as well. With this channel's deletion I have lost a significant part of my potential income. Many people used to hit me up on there, from the channel, rather than from IB. This comes at the worst time, for sure.
Whatever you do: 1 - You cannot rely on Telegram for sustenance. I know multiple artists who only post there. Those are (sorta) doomed - when their single artistic platform, when their single userbase gets taken away from them, they will take a catastrophic blow, some of them will probably make new channels there, a new account on IB, start diversifying - but a lot will just straight up probably drop the ball and in both cases, it will greatly impair them. Telegram wasn't even my main output, and I'm probably hit very hard by this. I can't imagine what it's gonna be like for people who don't even have an IB, don't have their pics posted on e621, and so on. 2 - Despite the claims that IB is there to stay, I have my own doubts about the future of IB as well. 3 - I guess now is the time to start advertising what is going on on other cub channels. Thinking of it, I should have done it. I should have advertised it on my cub channel - telegram IS actively destroying cub channels and will continue doing so. I had done that on my cub group (which is still up but will likely be deleted by telegram in the future) but I should have done so on my actual channel as well.
Idk what I'm gonna do, I'll keep posting here and I'll keep an eye out for more deletions as well as new IMs that have an actual future.

In the last few months, I've had 3 of my own con party chats removed (non-cub related). A friend had 2 con party chats removed, someone else had a lewd chat (diaper themed) removed. Another friend had a channel with lewds that was removed and his account was limited.
We all had to remake our chats and re-invite everyone back.
I think what's happening is people are reporting posts, telegram sees it's nsfw, says "hell no, i'm not dealing with this today", and confirms the report to err on the side of caution. Nobody working for telegram wants to investigate a bunch of lewds.

The group I am in was reported and has become limited, but it wasn't deleted. It is blocked in , multiple countries but there are work arounds. We also have automated moderation with three different bots.
Given that our group has been reported and nothing happened, it might not just be fun that is the problem. Thankfully the bots let us know when a raid is happening. They prevent botters from raiding.

It's because it's Russian Roulette on which of the moderation services gets to you. Some of them are foreign and their interpretation of the 'No Underage Porn' rules falls under their government's form (See France for example). Someone reported you, and drew the right bullet to get you shut down. That's why some cub groups can last a while, while others almost immediately get shut down. You had a bad actor inside.

I am clarifying that everyone has been saying that because of the bunnybits affair. This isn't true. Bunnybits was doing loli/shota, these are explicitly banned in France, like in most of the world. But cub is a grey area. This is also the case in most of the world. The shota/loli content is explicitly banned. Not cub. She wasn't jailed, either. She followed the recommendation of her lawyer to pretend she had an issue and seeked help. This got turned into mandatory supervision, etc
Otherwise, I'm saying, there's always going to be a "bad" actor. We can remake channels, I'm probably going to do it, but it's not gonna last. They will delete that too, even if it's more private

Well, one of the reasons I have my own website I put all my stuff on and link to it everywere. Even my site is ugly, this gives people a chance to keep in touch with me and I can communicate other channels to follow me somewhere else but also backing up my art as well.
But I see a shift to more decentralized solutions like Mastadon or the Fediverse itself with interoperability. Maybe something for the future? Who knows...

Meh I'm in a few groups that have been deleted from existence. Just created a new one and moved on. One group got nuked 4x in a year and now has been up for a year straight.
Just means someone reported it, groups set to private or invite only work much longer.
