This shit keeps getting more and more tedious. They're out trying to ban porn AGAIN and now it's an even more extreme measure that criminalizes it outright called IODA. Basically it broadens the definition of obscenity to make porn illegal to sell or transmit.
If you are in the community and supported this, fuck ALL the way off! If you voted for Trump or the Republicans, please block me and unfollow my page because I want fucking nothing to do with you. You all voted for THIS. You elected THIS. You don't get to bitch and moan when you are unpopular for the shit you vote into being.
For everyone else, please do what you can. Spread the message, call your senators and representatives, get in touch with legal groups who would challenge the law if it gets passed, do whatever you can. You can bet that if MAGA manages this, it won't end there. Any idea to the left of Atilla the Hun will eventually be called "obscene" and banned.
Are you LGBT? Send them to the El Salvador death camp! Are you a progressive? Sounds like terrorist enough to send to a death camp! Are you a liberal or Democrat? You stand against the King! Off to prison for you! Hell, Texas already passed a law making it illegal to be transgender and wrote the very idea of transgender out of their laws. If they could get away with lynching or arresting anyone who isn't a straight, white, cisgender, Christian male who isn't poor, they definitely would.
They claim to fight for freedom but their actions represent anything but. They want the government to be large enough to be in your lives from conception until death, yet never doing ANYTHING to help you unless you are born with a net worth of 20 million or more.
The mentality of a lot of folks who will not bother to take the time to stand against those bills is like, "Nawww, you can't fight the government...I'll just be careful not to get caught".
Same thing happened 45 years ago during the nationwide 55 mph speed limit. There were lots of folks who drove at 60, 65 and 70 mph. But back then, absolutely no one started any movements to get the speed limits raised. Those who chose to drive faster than 55 mph simply got radar detectors, thinking those would guarantee they'll never get caught speeding. Some still got caught speeding. Others would tell you, "Well, as long as you're not doing anything stupid, they always allow you a trucker's 10 on the interstates. That trucker's 10 let's you go up to 65 mph". That trucker's 10 was a myth. Though a lot of folks did believe it...until they got pulled over for 65 in a 55. Some thought you could put a ball of aluminum foil in behind a hub cap and it would disable a police radar. There were even music artists who released songs condemning the nationwide 55 mph speed limit. But nobody, absolutely nobody, dared to complain to their senator or congress person about the nationwide 55 mph speed limit. They just thought, "Naw. I'll just be careful not to get caught".
