Bits&Bobs
Progress is still being made towards the Bits&Bobs prequels. There is now 12k words written, expanding the lore, and deepening the characters, plot and setting. I've still only really tapped the surface, but it's encouraging to finally be working on this earlier part of the story and really fleshing it out. I plan to continue developing it quietly in the background, but you likely won't get to see any of it for quite some time. I haven't entirely decided to tone I want to go for, and there might be retooling necessary. But I'm definitely thinking about the larger story outside of just The Princess & The Pirate, and the Mischievous Mistletoe. There is plenty more story to tell both before and after. I'm looking forward to it.
Binxed!
This month I actually wrote some new material for Binx. The first 1000 words of Chapter 2 of Binxed has been written. Perhaps I can release Chapter 2 sometime in the summer with any luck. I know how it begins, but don't exactly have a plan for where to go from there, but I am sure I figure out something if I keep writing and thinking about it. The goal is to eventually write up to the events of the "shower scene" so that they can eventually be turned into the shower comic.
BTBF
Believe it or not, I finally got to some new writing for BTBF. Some new writing for Chapter 8, and some new writing for the second chapter of Jonah's first Bible Camp, in which he meets Jonathan for the first time. The new chapter 8 material amounted to about 600 words, and the new Jonah and Jonathan scene amounted to around 2400 words. I'd like to up the ante this month and start getting back into the novel proper. It's fitting since Jonah met Jonathan in the Summer, so this is generally the time of year I like to write about it the most. Perhaps I'll shoot for a June release. BTBF is still my favorite story. By hook or crook I am going to finish it someday.
Miscellaneous
I attempted to make new Mila art, but found the result wanting so I didn't get past the sketching phase. I might try again later. I'd really like to practice drawing her. I have a picture in my head of what she looks like and how she acts, but I just need to figure out how to get that out of my head and onto a piece of paper. It usually takes some time to figure out.
Besides my usual mention that I should add more Shaw&Felix art (I keep saying it and not doing it), I actually was thinking recently I'd like to start working on Chase&Catch. It's themes are rather relevant to something I'm going through right now, and I was thinking a written chapter might be the way to go. Stay tuned I guess ...
In Closing
Welp that's it. Not much to report, other than some general progress, but hey, progress is important. I will note that I'm happy I've kept up with drawing subs for every month up to April. I want to get back into drawing again and really want to start experimenting with more erotic and romantic poses. You can see some of the beginnings of that in my last two drawing submissions for April. Expect more of it. I need to practice if I'm ever to become a commission artist.
