norm:
noun; something that is usual, typical, or standard.
less than 1% of the overall world population is trans, wanting the other to flat out change the way thinking and demanding a change of language seems entitled to me.
i know that transpeople exist, they can. i dont mind but that does no give them the right to demand of others how they be adressed. and skoonis teh perfect exampel for being entitled, saying i am a nazi for being german. behavior like that give transpeople the bad rep and hate.

Statistics have nothing to do with how people should be treated.

That's quite the problem I see on the communist side, particularly with false liberals: they want people to just "Shut up and accept OUR ideals or we cancel you!", and it gets... Very toxic. Like that one time a VG Site Head Editor claimed a group of translator to be alt right and sicced the ResetEra gang on them, to the point one of the translators fell into depression for a whole year, having lost the desire to translate games again (he got better after that, but was paranoid of putting ANYTHING online again), and anyone calling said Head Editor out on their bullshit was labelled "chud". Even people of the left, center, real liberals, got called "chud" by that horde.

It's quite the story, I tell you, because what happened is that the one alt left VG Site Head Editor didn't want to try to REASON, he jumped straight to assumptions, and all because of ONE WORD in one of the THREE GAMES the group translated, and said word mind you was not only correctly translated (it was a transphobic slur in the original Japanese script of the era), but was also rather tame compared to the things people says nowadays, to the point that the translation of the slur is also used by some people in the LGBTQ+ community to even identify themselves sometimes, resulting in a case similar to how some afro-american uses the N word left and right, but god forbid anyone not afro-american uses that word, because they feel obligated to lynch them where they stand.

Now that I think, isn't that double-standard? Anyways, I hope you get the idea: the problem happens when someone pushes their ideals to an extreme and tries to force it.on others without seeing them as people, and both the left AND right are guilty of it.

As for where I place? Fuck communists, fuck fascists, I just want people to be free and more conscious of other people as well.

I label people who actually behave badly, and then those who defend or normalize that behavior. Or completely ignore power dynamic and real world goings on for their own personal narrative.

These people will call you out for condemning them. They're the same people who claim FA banned them for their 'political stance', and not the fact they went to peoples' pages telling them to kill themselves, or the fact that they frequently used slurs or hate speech, or the fact they were overall leaving horrible violent takes everywhere.

And they use the cliche "You're a commie!" bullshit, means they have no clue what that word means, only that it's associated with "Enemy" from the red scare. It's sad.

Your fiendish buddy down there said no one asked for my opinion, while openly putting their opinion on a page unrelated to them, it's Frist's page, not his. *chuckle* He then bitches about me blocking him, after 'no one asked me for my opinion'. He called me 'Alt Left' not knowing where I am on the spectrum of politics. Literally blindly flailing trying to find people to attack. It's sad.

I still find it funny when these people bitch about being blocked, only to block you. Funny enough, his message about going 'BYE!' (the block) occurred BEFORE he called me out for blocking him.

I'm glad he knows that blocking exists, because it's a wonderful thing to exercise when you don't want to associate with someone, for any reason.

The irony in his anger towards me? He and I agree that politicians are all shit in the US. There's a few good ones who care about their people, but most of them are corrupt fuckwits.

No one is forcing anyone to use preferred pronouns. However, refusing to use someone their preferred pronouns most certainly gives them the right to then just refuse to interact with you further, since you are not giving them the basic human decency of respecting their identity.

Sex and gender are not the same thing. Biological sex is someone's physical/physiological makeup and if you want to say a trans female is a biological male, that's fair, (although we're learning that even sex isn't entirely black and white.) Gender is how a person presents themselves, not too different from a fursona. I'm guessing you'd have no issue calling me a "bunny", and doing so makes me happy. Makes me GIDDY in fact. Now if you were constantly correcting me when I present as a bunny and saying "No, you're a human" that doesn't do anyone any good. I'm not delusional, but if I'm in my bunny suit and you have to constantly say to me and everyone around you that "there's a human under that suit" or remind everyone all the time "that's not MystBunny, that's Tim" what good does that do? It would just annoy me and everyone who addresses me as I choose to present myself, and "but that's the truth" really misses the point.

Unlike sex, gender isn't fact. There's no truth to gender other than what we decide it is, and the English language isn't static. It's constantly evolving, there are no set rules. Words change meaning all the time. Using pronouns to refer to someone's gender rather than their sex is just as valid and unlike the opposite, makes people feel welcome and accepted. By insisting on referring to someone by their physical makeup 100% of the time, you're essentially saying to them "Your happiness doesn't matter to me, your feelings don't matter to me, your struggles don't matter to me, the only thing that matters is how I choose to label you." That's the message you're sending to the trans community with your insistence on clinging to an outdated aspect of our language.

So yeah. They've decided they don't want you around, because you've been making them uncomfortable. As others have pointed out, that's the consequences of dismissing people's wishes, struggles, and comfort. Sure, there will be times when no agreement can be reached, but you're not trying. You're not striving to improve yourself or to learn why gender is important to people.

If you're still wondering why it's a sore subject for most trans people, remember that trans people are persecuted, blamed for all of society's problems, targeted by lawmakers, even arrested in some cases, just for presenting themselves how they wish to present themselves. It can get especially bad here in Texas during certain political "seasons". By insisting that their struggles aren't real, you're actively being adversarial. Maybe it would be different if they weren't always being targeted as the scapegoat of the day, but that's only speculation, and that's not the world we live in now. It's important in this scary climate to know you have allies, and using their preferred pronouns is a very simple and harmless way to say "I accept you" and to do otherwise is... well it's just selfish.
