I will no longer be posting on Inkbunny

I am not deleting my account but I am no longer going to be posting on Inkbunny after seeing real life CSAM on the front page. This website is unsafe and until and unless the moderation staff do something serious about the illegal, dangerous material being posted here I don't want to be associated with it.

Wait, are they not deleting it or something? I'm confused cause I browse the front page somewhat often and haven't seen anything remotely like that thankfully

Apparently a user had uploaded it about 4 days ago, but I haven't seen it since then. Although I didn't see it the first time it happened. The staff are aware of that incident at least and took steps.

Ah, thats good at least. I'm no coder so not sure how else they could prevent it from being posted, but at least they're quick to nuke it.

We are trying to implement and acquire access to additional technical means to detect such content, but as you can imagine that takes a little time since the "bad guys" also want such access.

In particular, we used to have access to an image hash checking service but changed servers and they never got around to updating access with the new IPs as we requested.

I've reached out to the relevant organisation again; once they re-enable access it may improve matters. Conveniently we have additional staff coming on board who can help to address the issue in the interim, plus we paused new account signups (probably to be replaced with a more specific restriction soon).

Took around 15min between reporting such a post and having the whole account nuked.
It takes vigilance and action to keep the side clean-ish.

Bet someone is jacking around and creating accounts to post such stuff.
