Venting here about FA

Just letting off steam here. today I received a message about an art removel from my account and a warnign about not fullfilling the standards of what is art.

Facts: The art removed was - 6 - years old.
sceond: It was a parody on modern abstract art - not being art but praised.
third: it was a PARODY - and I EVEN wrote it in the description. so parody IS art
fourth - 6 years - it was removed after 6 years

last: While I am writing this there are many accounts on FA showing pictures of vehicles.

Fa staff could have been so nice to ASK me for removal or what it is about. but no.. I receive a (1st warning) and a removal
after 6 fucking years.

FA famously removed a comic for having underage characters because no ages were stated in the comic or description. No mention of age means underage according to them.

That is in some way understandable but disbutable - also when it considers fictive non human character.
But.. I made a parod on Marko Rothko's art.
I explained it in the description.

And as said- 6 years ago.

Imagine being flagged for something you forgot about because it was fucking 6 years ago- and no criminal act in any way. just a picture with a white canvas - for you make a parody on Marko Rothko Oo

...that is part of why I always just have everything going to several pages with Posty Birb.
FA has its flaws, best to spread yourself out. ^^ ;

That's FA for you. They don't care what was okay yesterday. You can consider yourself lucky that you didn't get a week or a month long ban where they remove all rights to your own art.

Hey, Kumba, don't stress! The same thing happened to me on Bluesky, too. Even when I tag my Upload as they wished: as explicit and "media content", the moderators still flagged some of my Pictures without explanation. Getting in conatct with the moderation is nearly impossible.
I've had some of my artwork get flagged once on FA too, and they didn't tell me why. It wasn't puppy art or anything else bad (which I would have understood).
Sometimes, without a conversation or consultation, you just get a flag. I totally understand you. It always depends on the moderation. Don't get too annoyed.

Mhm. FA mods love to throw out stuff that doesn't fit their mood. Objectivity is not their strong suit.

The fact that the administration on FA is quite arbitrary is nothing new, that has already happened to me with my suit building documentation, as you know.

Its Fur Affinity. So I'm definitely not surprised. My advice is set up an online front that you are in control of, not admin that only want a clique and those not a part of it kicked to the curb. My fiancee had multiple run-ins with admin on FA and this website because they had a bone to pick with him. So he disengaged from both. I myself have set up a telegram channel because of the fact I am more in charge of the content I want to post there than anywhere else and keep any toxic people out of my fur. Maybe look into setting up a telegram channel and use FA and the other furry art sites for mostly "read only".

Yeah, sounds like a very FA like thing to do. Sometimes it's tough to follow their trail of logic.
