There were other posts that got removed too. A user by the name of spoonfox I think had replied down there as well to me and that huge post and it's replies are just gone.

Ah. I only saw one post from SpoonFox within Kadm's thread, but I certainly don't have the most recent set of comments. I'm unsure why other posts would be deleted unless they were inflammatory.

I think the majority was all nestled into the massive reply chains to the former mod, and their presence being removed completely from the site meant that every comment was deleted too. I think some good points were made in between the bickering, and it's a shame to see them gone as collateral.

This is correct. It's not a deliberate effect to suppress speech, it's just the way the Inkbunny comment deletion system has always worked - deleting a comment also marks all replies deleted, and so on. It's unfortunate that this impacts such discussions when prominent members choose to depart, but this is not unique to staff and has impacted our own conversations as well, now and in the past.
If any members would like copies of the comments they recall making to a particular post they are welcome to file a ticket to request them.
