The LAN cable can be good speaker cable.

lately the cold days come and I don't draw the arts but I scribble and color anthro characters because of the coldness, the drawing motion make me warmer and warmer, I can't wait the spring.

on the other topic, lately I touch the poor audio somewhat, and this time I change the speaker cables. I don't try the expensive cables and my normal cable make very blur and hollow and thin sound, the belden cable have 3 dimensional and thick sound but it still blur and hollow, then I try to use LAN cables as a speaker cable. the LAN cable consist of 8 small cables, my  speaker system is very small so I use 4 small cables on plus line and other 4 small cables on minus line, I use 2 speakers so I need 2 speaker cables, I cut 3m LAN cable to 1.5m each and it's enough to use.

the sound become amazingly clear, the blur and hollow sound is disappear, it's incredible thing. I use cat.5 and cat.6 LAN cable and I feel cat.6 is far better, and on some cheap LAN cables are copper coated aluminum cable and it's called CCA cable, I feel pure copper cable is better sound. when the sound become good I feel like listening to music more, and I want to make more winamp skins.

Be careful doing too much repetitive motion.  You may develop a "repetitive strain injury" if you do the same motion over and over too many times.  Basically, it causes micro-scarring on your muscles, and over time, this scarring builds up until your muscles become disabled.  Especially if you feel sore afterwards, it's an injury.

For headphones, the SONY MDR-7506 are considered "studio monitor" grade.  They are a design from the 1990s that basically everyone uses for radio and in recording studios, so most music is made using this exact model of headphone, which tends to result in the best quality of sound (as you are hearing it the same as the artist). ;3

That's some hood jerry rigging with the ethernet cable, didn't know that was possible!  Thanks for sharing :3

Actually I've experienced the carpal tunnel syndrome and frozen shoulder before, the over drawing motion cause these things, I keep in mind the repetitiv strain injury and I try not to draw too much.

about the headphones, I get some earphones and headphones more than 15 years ago, but some of them are collapsed on plastic part or ear pad, now Philips SHP2500 and AKG K240 studio are still alive, I mainly use K240 studio.

Not the motion itself, it's the way the desk is set up.  You do not want to have any edge of your desk pressing into any point of your arms.  The weight of your arm is evenly distributed on your desk.  Your shoulders relaxed at your side, not locked in mid-air.

Do not have your sketchbook at the closest side of your desk, or your arms will be locked in place in mid-air.  That is what causes the strain.  It's not the drawing motion, it is the way your body fits to your desk.

Each muscle has a 2nd muscle pulling on it in the opposite direction.  Locking your arms in mid-air : one muscle will get much stronger and its opposite muscle will get weaker.  The strength/weakness imbalance is what causes the nerves to get pinched off.

I use a "Steelseries QCK large" size mouse pad and it covers half of my desk, to provide padding.  My keyboard is at the back of my desk because I have my monitors mounted on stands to free up more desk space.  My arm rests on the (huge) mouse pad from the elbow all the way to my wrist, and the weight is evenly distributed.  I don't lean my weight on my arm

on recent days I feel subtle numb on my fingers it's from carpal tunnel, I feel the way of using mouse is too bad. my desk is narrow and the keyboard and mouse is edge of the desk, I type like playing the piano, on the mouse my palm come on the edge of desk and it's not severe, the narrow space sometimes make bad posture and it affect to my body, I sometimes feel pain on my abdominal muscle.

I got speaker/audio stands from Amazon for like $60, but there are monitor arms that you can use instead which are like $20.  (be careful setting those up if they're spring loaded)

The idea is you need to free up space on your desk so that your entire forearm can rest comfortably on it, weight evenly distributed, on a padded surface (hence the large mousepad).

My keyboard is at the far edge of my desk, not near me.  Playing it like a piano will basically cause small microscarring of the muscles/tendons until your arm doesn't work anymore.

I used to have a bad setup in 2018 spring, but i fixed it, and the pain never came back.  Ever.  It's completely gone.

I haven't notice the monitor arms at all, I've used CRT monitor and it's heavy thing, so far I don't think of bring monitor up. now I use laptop PC only and there are arms for laptop PC, but the space isn't exist on my desks, I use small foldable desk and strage desk, the backside of foldable desk is wall and window, now I make a board for PC mouse and it's comfortable, I put laptop PC on distant and additional keyboard at the edge of desk. now I have a monitor stand but it's for monitor and it's hard to use for laptop PC. fortunately I don't frequently type and it's not many and the pain don't come much, I think to make board for keyboard like my PC mouse.

There should not be any pain, that's the damage
I also have a folding desk, but I have my screens (monitors) on stands behind my folding desk.
The stands I have are for audio equipment (speakers) but I put my computer's screens (monitors) on them instead.
They are adjustable height, and I don't have them on my desk.
Since my entire desk (folding table) is free, i put my keyboard where my screens (monitors) were.
I have a huge mousepad to provide a padded surface to the desk's (folding table) surface.
I never get pain, and I spend all day online! x3c
