Is there really though? The people seem to have chosen that they want the future to be shit, and I'm not really here for it. Why should I stick around just to suffer? I've done enough of that in my life already. I wasted my whole youth working towards a future that turned out to be a lie. I'm tired of being denied and set back and having all the things I care about taken away over and over again. Caring for my folks is the only thing still keeping me here and if anything happens to them I plan to follow swiftly after. Things are only ever going to get worse.

I think it's disproportionally boomers that have made that choice though, and they won't be around too much longer.

I think that like the aliens from They Live they want to turn the our world into a fascimile of the hellish world that they came from. But unlike the aliens their days are naturally numbered. And once those days run out we can bury the 20th century so deep that nobody will ever find it again.

im trying. ive just managed to get on my feet and thats only with the help of alot of government programs helping me afford to eat, keep the power on, have a phone, afford my meds. and right now im scared i wont survive once those programs are cut, or defunded, etc...really having a rough time.
