I have some words to say.

I'm not okay anymore, I haven't been for a long time. I can't log on to any site because I feel like I have to show progress but I have nothing, just ideas that rain down but I can't complete them because my ability to concentrate has been reduced to the point of absurdity.

I can't complete any comic pages, not even a single picture because in my head I know I should work on something else I want and at the same time another idea comes to me that I want to work on but the cycle repeats itself over and over again. I've been stuck in a vicious circle that I've realized these days and that I want to break before it sinks me. I haven't been able to draw new things, I haven't been able to draw my OCs, I haven't been able to advance on my projects, I don't enjoy my free time and most importantly, I haven't been able to sleep well.

But it's time to break this cycle, this horrible habit, and fix this mistake I made and grow even more. I want to start making speedpaints in Clip Studio, I want to draw my OCs in canon and non-canon situations. I want to reconnect with my audience without feeling pressure from clients, I want to be an artist again, a friend, to feel complete again and not fragmented in images and projects that I have not been able to complete.

Today is that day, today I must break with this because it is affecting me horribly, it has isolated me, I have withdrawn into myself, it has made me lazy and even worse, tonight a thought crossed my mind that I never thought I would have, to end it all. No, that is not me, I want to show my stories, share my work, make a community, and when the time comes I can leave knowing that I did what I wanted. But to achieve this I must change not only my lifestyle but get rid of my fears, insecurities, and that is what I will do today.

I will speak with the people who I still owe their projects to, and I will give them their corresponding refund because I must take action on the matter before my head explodes. Today I am going to change for the better, wish me luck because this time I am going to need it.

Thank you for your time and I hope you have a great morning, afternoon or evening.

I got out of this rut by dedicating a schedule to create art.  For the month of October, it was an hour after dinner, where one day was for sketching, and the next day for inks and colors.  I was happy with how much art I created, but it consumed a lot of time, so now I'm dedicating about two days a week, which is working reasonably well.

Without a schedule, I'm also way too lazy and indecisive.  Granted, I only draw traditionally on paper and I don't own a phone, so I don't have any computers around to distract me.

I know how constantly getting new ideas can destroy the mood to draw on your current things. Unfortunately I don't have a solution for that. But doing speed paints is probably a good idea. I hope it works out!

I don't understand the "I have to show progress", your art is amazing as it is, asking to improve something that is perfect? That would be crazy.
I think we've all been in that mindset... It's a dark place to be, but you have to understand that there is always light at the end of the road, no matter how dark it seems! The world is full of possibilities and it is up to you to go find them, they are not going to come to you.
You need to do what makes you happy and not feel like you owe it to someone else. Take care of yourself first and then your clients
Your life and skills are irreplaceable! And you should be proud of it!
I wish you the best! :3

Wow, that sounds pretty miserable, no offense. Feeling the pressure of owe projects to people is one of the reasons I didn't try drawing as a job, even if some friends of mine told me I should do it.
"...to end it all." Jeez, that's hard; I don't know if you were talking about what I thought you were talking about, but I hope you can feel better soon; take your time and clear your mind.

Making the realization is the first step... He may seem hard but you need to know when to step back and realize when you have too much on your plate, which you did... Take some time to rest and get your mental health back up. Once you feel confident enough to start again, do so slowly and don't rush... Get better, we'll be waiting for you...

I feel like that sometimes too. I look at the giant pile of unfinished crappy sketches I made next to the small stack of completed works I made that also look crappy the more I look at them. Makes me feel like a lazy bum.
And then promising my friends and audience over and over that I'm working on something good even though I haven't touched my drawing phone in weeks. It's not a good feeling. 😔

Do you want to talk about it?

Its ok, you are ok your gonna be ok, I been on the "furry art" industry since 2007 and just till 2020 I actually started to get some commissions and actual "frequent clients" its not much but its a good extra money. never let go on your dreams progress can be hard to achieve some make it look like its easy its not. look at those you admire and those you look up to, and you will notice they where or extremely lucky or fought for what they got to for years!

remember the saying never meet your heroes? its cause of that they are as normal as you are. all thsoe extraordinary things they did wsa just a minimun % of what they done in life. you keep on going as my slogan say.

Keep it up and keep it kool!

Nothing changes if you do not change first! you can do this!
