Well, it has been quite the week at work, and not a good one. One of the outside salesmen lost his friend over the weekend to a farming accident. Some kind of animal feeder or mulcher equipment had gotten stuck. Instead of turning off the power, he just went and started trying to get it unstuck, and well you can all guess what happened next... I can't imagine going like that, being sucked into something like that...
Then on Wednesday I get a text from one of my employee's as he was due back on Thursday. On there 1st night in Mexico, their son's best friend died from falling off a 3rd story balcony. He was only 21. Was instant as soon as he hit the ground. The son watched him fall, couldn't do anything, then ran down and held his dead friend, skull cracked and blood coming out of everywhere. I feel so sorry for this young kid, who was also 21. They were best friends since they were 7. I really hope he doesn't turn to drugs or try to join his friend. I hope his parents are able to get him grief counselling. The really sad thing is, 3 years ago that family lost their 21 year old daughter to cancer.
This happened the 1st night they were there and basically had to stay until their flight home a week later. The very corrupt police down there, made them pay USD$1000 to have the body released. From what he was aying, they didn't even look like cops, they were wearing tons of gold necklaces/jewellery, expensive clothes, etc...
He came into work to help try and keep his mind off of it.
But 3 weeks before Christmas and all this happens to two people at my work....
