Hey guys,
Got some unfortunate news. The cancer has grown back since I completed the treatment a couple months ago.
I had my first monitoring scans (you get periodic scans done after cancer treatment to ensure that it doesn't reappear) and the results showed that the Cancer has grown back to about ~35mm in size.
When I originally got treated, it had grown to 160mm, so it is significantly smaller this time, but it's undoubtedly an upsetting result to get after the last 8 or so months.
I'm going to be undergoing a new type of treatment involving something called "T-Cells" I think? Apparently they're part of your immune system and the idea is to harvest some of them, then (somehow) train them to attack the Lymphoma (Cancer) cells, then return them so they can attack the Cancer and kill it. No idea how long this treatment course is, nor how intense it will be.
All I can do now is stay positive and trust in the process once more. I'll do my best to keep you updated if anything noteworthy happens, and I'm hopeful to be able to do a bit of drawing here and there, but I certainly make no promises to get any pictures out under these conditions.
