It's been a while since I posted an update so here's the rundown.
I'm doing fantastically.
Since recently I have a full time job of 7.6 hours a day. This means that drawing time is significantly reduced. Getting this job has made me a lot happier and more productive when drawing however, so that's a plus. Overall the speed at which drawings finish will still be significantly reduced. I'm simply not drawing as often as I could on a good day. But this is not a bad thing.
I still have 4 commissions pending (2 full colors and 2 colored sketches), and the Fanbox rewards are still continuing and are backing up as normal. As it stands now I'd like to scale down commissions to near zero. As in, I only reopen if I need the extra cash to do something, and never again as a necessity. Which is something I'm very pleased about. As for rewards, I'd like to keep offering those, but if there are too many people that buy them, I may close rewards sometimes or incentivise people not to ask for them. I can only make so many drawings lol.
Beyond that, everything's going alright. Money is no longer an issue for as long as I can work, which means when the backlog clears, I can draw for fun again. Which is something that has been exclusively for streams for a very long time. As personally, I always felt bad drawing for myself, since I always had better things to work on (commissions). This feeling compounded and snowballed into a very low productivity commission cycle. Having a stable income now should help me clear that and make drawing more fun for me.
That said, finishing the backlog will still take a bit, as the commissions happen to be gargantuan. Even if it's only four drawings. It will take several months before I am able to do my own projects again. So, here's to a better time making art!
