"STAR TREK: PRODIGY" Is proper Star Trek! "VOYAGER 2"

Just finished watching the 3D ANimated "Star Trek: Prodigy" show, which I thought was going to be a typical "lights and colors" kid's show, and after a few episodes, it became proper Star Trek, and eventually led to a reuniting of many Voyager Alumni as main characters with their actors reprising their roles, like Janeway and The Doctor.

It has a very "Star Wars Clone Wars" animation style, and the writing stays true to TNG era Star Trek, along with the occasional references to other Trek, even referring to "Lower Decks" in one episode.

The first season has some good character development and relationship building and fun adventure, and the second season becomes absolutely EPIC!

Don't know if it will get a 3rd season, but the 2nd season ends in a way that it doesn't leave a bunch of unanswered questions. So it's good to watch knowing it won't just end in the middle of something while still leaving it open for possible renewal.

Kate Mulgrew "Janeway", Robert Picardo "The EMH Doctor", and Robert Beltran "Chakotay" all want to do a 3rd season, but right now Netflix owns the rights to Star Trek Prodigy and I really hope they keep it going.

Anyway, if you are a TNG era, and especially Voyager fan, it is DEFINITELY worth watching.

100% agree; Prodigy has become my favorite of the new Trek shows, and one of my fave Treks of all time.

If you are a TOS and TNG fan, also check out "Strange New Worlds".

Eugene Roddenberry is the executive producer and has a few other roles in a lot of the newer Treks after the disaster that was "Discovery"... Strange New Worlds is like a mash-up of TOS lore, with TNG tech and writing, and a bit of the newer style flashy cinematography and amazing set design.

Way ahead of you; I asked my dad, and he agrees that SNW is kinda like getting to watch TOS for the first time.
Here’s to it being the first new Trek show to make seven seasons!
