Dog update - mostly back to normal

The last big issue I was worried about has pretty much ended, since my dog finally has started eating her dry food and acting pretty much normally. She's definitely still recovering, spending a lot of time resting but at least now is able to take her usual walk around the yard and isn't struggling on the back steps. I'm still giving her some fresh food as extra protein and to take her pills, and tomorrow I'm supposed to call back the vet with an update for them on her condition as well. I assume they'll say to keep up the antibiotics and such until the course runs out, but it does seem like she's going to be okay. I do wish I knew what started the infection, right now I can only guess and the vet had no ideas other than it could have been from nearly anything since it's such a general infection (staph). I'm going to block off an area where a tree may have scraped her back, but other than that I just have to keep a closer eye on her outside.

Thank Goodness your dog is doing okay, but I do still hope she makes a full recover to being a good pupper again.

if she has trouble eating again get some uncooked beef hotdogs, i helped out an entire family of dogs that had parvo , they couldnt keep in anything without it flying back up, but not only did hot dogs work they loved it hope this helps those who read it o7

I would only be worried about the salt content for those, but I guess it depends on the brand etc. Certainly if that's all they'd take, it's what you'd have to use though. For me boiled chicken worked perfectly, and it's pretty easy to hide pills in during her recovery as well.

No, I'm still struggling with finding a way to not be homeless in ~4 months from now. The comic will remain on indefinite hiatus unfortunately, since it's a personal project I do in my spare time and just can't justify making it a priority.
