Will humans survive outer space travel? I don't think so. We'd be dead most likely. And even if we do survive, we'd be doing the same terrible stuff we do on this planet.
God forbid that mankind travels to a planet inhabited by intelligent beings who are not as technology advanced as we are. Here's why: We all know about the historical records of how Christopher Columbus and his men mistreated the Caribbean natives. And Spanish explorers stealing gold from the native South American tribes. And the native North Americans being mistreated including having their land taken away. And the people of Africa being captured for the Atlantic Slave Trade.
I'd dare to say, if mankind traveled to a planet inhabited by intelligent beings less advanced than us, Earth humans would conquer and mistreat the inhabitants of such a planet in the same way.
