Yea, that was a scammer trying to get your acct, it's been happening on discord lately. Hover over account near top, go to profile, then scroll down. Should be a remove option next to it.

Have you contacted that person outside of Discord? As some have mentioned here, that sounds like a scam.
They hack someone's account, then they send people messages saying "I accidentally reported you, click this link to fix it"
and that link is usually a virus or some other dirty trick they use to hack more accounts.

I've been chatting with him for a while, I think he was here. I think some got to him when he tried to report the person. Either way, it is done now.

It was very scam tactic. Did you recive a email or he only show you a recipt that he reported? the former is real but the later one is scam. Block his ass and continue as always. Not deleted your entired account for that. not click any link.

Yes, he showed me a screen shot of the original thing he was complaining about and the report to discord. but the user name looked wrong to me and chatting with the discord 'customer service' rep seemed very wrong to me... so, it was a lot easier to just delete the account and the servers I had there. I wasn't even used to how everything worked there anyway.

The most easy option was to block him and go the merry way. That "recipt" is fake. You deleted yoyr Discord for literal nothing but sheer fear, he do not have power. Did you check your email thst you created your discord? The warnings of true mods always send you a email. If not, he wanted to dance his way to stole your account. You ca recreated your account and return to normal. Check how to spot scammers in Discord and what do and do not.

Not fear...aggravation. This is the second time something like this happened and Discord doesn't seem to do anything about it. I deleted my account because I had it with Discord.

I agree. Still... I don't have to worry about it anymore. The only good thing was that I could post works there that involved humans without having to censor it.

Sounds like a variant of the steam account scam I've seen going around as well...
Thinking about it... would've been better to block, close out the dm, and kick em off the server with a ban. (as if you don't respond, they'll leave you alone)

For everyone of here! If the person is show you this https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/11516775419800...; screenshot but you not have an email of Discord Support official email, they are scammers. Block their asses and keep going ahead.

It was a very common scam that used stolen account. It is in automatic mode and they are not changed even word of their text that sending to all friends list from stolen account.
