Sorry I haven't given an update on my brother, but he's doing better. He is living with me and my mom now. In the past months, we've been fixing up his home, making it suitable to live in again.
Now onto this month. My mother has had a hip replacement. And when she was released from the hospital, I've been taking care of both her and my brother. She originally needed help getting to the bathroom, but she has a walker now.
It'll be probably be a whole month until things are relatively back to normal. In the meantime, I'll be cooking their meals and attending to other needs. Apologies in advance if things are slow on my end.
Update: My niece has been staying with us since Wednesday. Yesterday, 7/12/24, my brother drove us out to the graveyard. Unfortunately, my niece ran down the hill and fell onto the concreate ground. She injured both of her legs and had to be rushed to the ER.
Fortunately, nothing was broken. But she can barely walk without medication. I've been carrying her from the graveyard, to the hospital, and to the bathroom. Now, I have three family members I'm tending to. I'm not complaining, but I do need to vent...
