Sure it is. From known data, it has a 100% mortality rate.
The known mortality rate in humans is a 0% rate, 100% rate, and every other rate, because humans have not been infected with this as far as we know.

Though, there's hope for people who got the old 'rona, because it seems to provide preemptive immunity. But, getting it cold is, so far, as far as we can tell, possibly very deadly.

Then I ought to do well, I've had it like seven times now :) Besides a virus that kills it's host too rapidly dies out very quickly. It's not viable in the human population. We are very tough to kill down to an evolutionary bottleneck.

depends on the incubation period. that's why covid was such a problem; people infected for weeks before showing symptoms, and were spreading the virus well before being visibly infected.
I think that's the plan here. A very long incubation where the virus can spread, but your immune system can find it and respond to it if you've already been infected. That way, anyone who didn't obey the government will be wiped out.

I don't know, but to me I don't think things are as bad as news and everyone thinks. The biggest threat currently is russia is feeling overly preasured and putin doesn't want to look weak so he needs either a puric victory or a reason he lost the war to keep power. its why he is poking americas bottons he needs us to do something to justify him losing the war to his people. Nuclear weapons? unlikely, no one wants the hell storm that would bring onto them and there is a good chance russia nuklear arsonal lacked so much maintanance that barely any of them still function. If that is the case they won't be able to saturate our defenses and there is a chance they might get all intercepted and then russia faces retaliation. remember all the problems russian military having with the equipment they are using in ukraine would be doubly ably to nuklear weapons wich no one really expects to use. Russia does use the triad system but there bombers aren't stealth enough there subs can be countered by ours leaving mostly just there missles. there is a reason russia losing to ukraine we gave our old hand me down equipment to. china realizing they can't take the us either especially giving the number of nations they pissed off. Are all nations becoming facist, well thats debatable, I mean I expect mass arrests of political decent and no arresting people who are rioting is not that but rather actually going down party lines and arresting people who are not the right party. I mean this is a line by people who just dislike the opinion of political oposition. I don't think things are so bleak, but rather I think our disapointment in the canidates we have are driving us to hate the elections before they even started.

The only thing that has reassured me is that the US arsenal is unmatched by any other country, besides having forces like NATO and QUAD (I think that's the name of the union between the US, Australia, Japan and the UK), it reassures me that the civilized western world is still in control of the world.

thos were very small compard to todays ardanc , the nuclear weapons of today are a 100 times more powerful than thos older ones and it will take a very very long time if any one did surivi a bunch of blasts not just one or two no , if nyny was hit 5 times at 80 magatons youd have to wait 25.000 years to come out of a bunker and thats if it was 10mils below the serfus i did the math as they say and if you live way out side of any big city the chanc of liveing is still very very slim ,

iv been in traning for survival every sec i was 8yrs old i know how to do many many things incase of bad wearth and more , the people that think oh ill just wait or steel food if this ever happens will be dead worg because if some one thinks they'll bust down my door and take my food and weapons will not fare to well because i have booby traps and im armed to the teeth , i will help other after a war or invasion happend but if and when its happening i hope you all think back on this and hunker down and can find food and water .

oh thos were only one at a time and the only one that was over 50 megatons was 58 magtons but it was the only one and was to never be repeted , now if you take a full on strike with all of Russias and if china did the same most of all the us with be hotter than the sun + + ,, like i say do the math , they will not just send one or two just like the us will not just send one or two , theres a resen they call it mutual assured destruction and in that case ill just sit on my front porch and watch the fire works , but if we was invaded i have a lot of hiding places no one will ever find me and im not afrade of the deep woods were i live , ill be the safe one when others that think they will just go on like nothing happened will end up very sorry , and it's not a prepper mentality , prepppers think oh ill be ok if i just hord away my food they don't stop to think what happens when you run out of food , you wont just beable to run to the loco walmart , trust me food will be very very thin atbest and if if we were invaded they will be hogging all the food for there troops not for you and or any one els , my idea is and will always be survival go's way beoned preppers thinking , and if we don't get invaded i'm still redy for anything els that may happen ,, like when the power went out in this village i live in i was able to cook my food and have water and a alt power from a solar cell and other things that i had very handdy my neighbor was freezing in his house i did give him a heater i made so hed be warm and showed him how to cook without a stove he started crying , but atlest he was warm and had food and water . something to realy think about ..

I don't know much about survival, but I have lived some experiences and I know a little about fishing, gathering, planting, making fire and shelter. I will probably die, but I know very well that I would not stay in the cities or villages.

That is a serious mistake, to go and rob someone else without knowing their weapons and traps. What I would do is to enter a forest or jungle (in the latter if I am in Latin America) and wait for the radiation or gases to reach me.

I've been a geopolitical nerd since I was in middle school, I like to study geopolitics and war just because I find it fascinating. I remember one time (after 9/11) there was a report about a hurricane coming into the east coast (USA) and how our navy had to move a lot of assets out of the way to avoid the storm. One of the smartest girls in our class stood up in a panic and proceeded to outburst: "NOW THE TALIBAN CAN ATTACK US WE'RE TOTALLY VULNERABLE ON THE EAST COAST!"

Before the teacher could say anything, I proceeded to explain to her exactly why she has nothing to worry about. The teacher let me go for 30 minutes of the class just explaining the situation and why her personal doomsday scenario was not possible.

The whole point of this? I'm by no means CIA intelligence or anything like that, but, I personally do not fear nuclear war. Not yet, at least. It's very true that we're in a very tight spot all over the world and a lot of violence is flaring up in many theaters right now, and I can see why it'd be scary, but Russia does not have the capacity to invade Europe (they can barely sustain a fight on their border), China's nuclear capabilities have recently been proven to be insanely inferior to what has been projected, and quite frankly even my own country has come up behind our projected capabilities in some instances (I share that because some of my friends, who live in NATO countries mind you, fear the US as much as they do China/Russia).

In short, nobody wants a long drawn out war and nobody wants it to go nuclear, and most of those who would be "capable" of it aren't really in a position to maintain it even if they did want to.

I hope that alleviates some of your concerns, though I realize this is just coming from some random guy on the internet, so feel free to take it with a grain of salt as well ^^

To start with, a nuclear war might not happen in this century.
True, it is a matter of when, not if. However, no one really knows...will it happen in 2024 or 2317 or 2560 or 3001.

It's like worrying when the Earth will be struck by an asteroid the size of the state of Rhode Island. Astrophysicist say that is also a when, not if. Though Astrophysicist also say a strike from a massive asteroid might not happen for the next million years or so.

Everyday we've always lived with the risks of; car accidents, being a victim of foul play, cancer, bitten by poisonous snakes and insects, dog attacks, struck by lightning during a storm, and so on.
Question is...Are you going to go on enjoying the pleasures of life? Or are you going to hunker down worrying your life away?
Besides...Old age will get us all some day anyway.

As far as preparation if it looks like an apocalypse is looming...I'm coming to the realization to not fully depend on that. In that scenario, gangs of thieves who didn't prepare will be stealing from those who did.
It would be wise to know how to fish, and hunt small game, birds and snakes. And to know what nuts, berries, fruit and vegetation that grow in the wild are edible. Natives of every contenent have survived that way since the beginning of time.
And military special forces have been trained in that survival.
After all, gangs of roving thieves can not steal knowledge.

trust me im not worrying , but like they say in the boy scouts be prepard , that's all im saying , just know how to take care of your self in times of bad problems , don't be one of thos people that say "oh how come" or "why me" ..

and if i didn't know how to do serton things i would have frozen to death when the power was out , i stayed warm and fed , when others around me was wondering what to do ,.

You gota remember, fear is being deliberately pumped into everyone's mind. Yes the situation in the world is very dark right now but full on nuke war isn't a possibility IMO. There's a reason they were used openly ONCE and never again. It's a loose/loose move and no one's going to ACTUALLY make that move.
