ai is not art.

I don't believe what I am uploading is art. I do this for fun and let it run while I'm sleeping or working. I have it create 500-2,000 images and I take the best looking ones and upload it to here for others who might think they look nice as well. Just because it makes something that looks nice doesn't mean it's art. If inkbunny bans all ai images then I don't blame them. I would more then gladly have all the images deleted on my account than to lose it. I also don't want other to be upset with me for something I enjoy doing. I know I could learn how to draw but I sucked at it compared to others in my art classes.

I'm not looking for watchers/favs but if I get them thanks.
I'm not looking for donations for any of these ai images.
I don't claim to own any of these images as they aren't made by me but by my computer.
If you can proof your art was used to make any ai gen image then I will delete it. most art have similar poses if that is all you have then that does not count. unless it's a unique pose that no one else has then I will consider it.

I hope I did not offend you. I actually find your uploads helpful in my own studies. I hope to improve upin my own art using them. I persionally hope you keep at it. Maybe even practicing sketching. A lot of my art in the beginning was aweful. I am still improving.

Fact is? Art is something you take time to express an emotion from deep inside. Art makes an impact. AI in some ways can help aid in theoretical poses. When you feel confident take those training wheals off and use real life photos for your refferences. Don't be ashamed if this AI helps you get started.

One can go for a hybrid route if you want to put your full passion into this~

for example certainly can be called art in my opinion because they don't rely purely on the randomness but are editing and correcting the mistakes AI makes.

Calling what we do as are is incredibly subjective, I am sure fluffballs can argue about it all day x3

Some of us in the AI Community have started to refer to ourselves as AI directors if AI artist feels like a dirty term to some.

It is hard to ignore the facts that the process and timescales are wildly different between traditional and digital artists and the new emerging ai artists.

The term director feels right in most cases when I feel like I have to "steer the ai" "work with the ai" "make the ai understand"

When I start hunting for details or fine-tuning a specific pose, and spend hours or days on a single image, set or idea in general.. those are the moments I feel like an artist. Now feeling like an artist isn't a bad thing and is a title I hold regardless outside this account so someone claiming my production line not art is just a lets agree to disagree moment.

I will agree with you, that if you are just letting the machine run, and not putting any additional effort Into the process.. maybe not so much an artist tho I wouldn't stop you from calling yourself it.. but curator or director.. I'd still promote that to.

It good to have these healthy discussions about the emergence of AI in the art communities especially since is one of the few that allows it.

I wasn't going to speak up but I felt I should add some positive notes to the talks when I can ♡ Happy creating!~<3

Interesting insights! From mostly watching all this from the outside I was hoping some wording would come up that is overall accepted. Just don't let it be "Prompter" which makes my think of the teleprompter xD Not entirely sure about the Director part because ones mind directly jumps to movies. At least mine does...
