Heya everybody! Rana here and I've got some news ^^
Its probably obvious from the lack of activity and updates this last year, but Adore-a-Pup hasn't been in the best of spots. The site has stagnated despite our efforts to try and bolster things, due to a variety of factors.
Part of it is everyone involved has stuff going on in their lives, both staff and creator alike. Personal lives should always come first, everyone has their own to lead. For awhile its been difficult to rally everyone to a position to work together when we're all so busy and have other things needing tended to. Between us on staff and our creators there's been a lot going on: job changes, home life debacles, people moving, the list goes on.
Another factor is the pandemic. It hit us and everyone involved hard, both in terms of people being sick off-and-on, as well as impacting how we go about obtaining and distributing our goods. While some fared okay, others didn't and it was a huge task trying to adapt to that. While we did somewhat, its still something we as a whole are handling.
There's more things contributing here and there, but the point is that we feel it disingenuous to remain open when we aren't in a position to provide the best service we can. Not to worry, though, this isn't good-bye! Our InkBunny page will remain open so everyone can browse what's posted and show support to all of our creators. The staff are also around if anybody ever wants to reach out to them, too.
As for the website, and Adore-a-Pup as a whole, we hope/plan to re-open in the future once we're in a better position to do so. We're capable of such, just a matter of figuring the best way to work together and give everyone the content and attention they deserve.
